The SAIS Observer
Washington, United States
As the only IR graduate school weekly writing stories with foreign bureaus on three continents, we are defining a new era of student journalism. With a global team in place across Bologna, Italy, Nanjing, China, and Washington, D.C., The SAIS Observer is the official student newspaper written, edited, and produced by the students of The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of The Johns Hopkins University founded in 2002.
Our staff has written for major newspapers, international publications, and literary magazines, including the BBC, Time.com, The New York Times, Foreign Policy, China’s People’s Daily, Korean JoongAng Daily, Coconuts Media and The Daily Emerald in Oregon. We look forward to serving this year both the SAIS community and our readers beyond the classroom.
