August Pictorial Book Photo Sessions Holy Family Photo Session dates are August 5-6. Note: These sessions will be held at Holy Family. St. Ambrose: August 9-13 PLEASE NOTE: AUG. 9th has been added for another date to book your photo session. Don’t forget to sign up by calling the Parish Office or online at our website: www.saint-ambrose.org. This book will be a Special Edition representing our 70th Anniversary year and everyone is encouraged to participate! (To date, only about 1/2 of our parishioners have signed up to have their photos made.) Let’s remind family and friends to take part in this parish project!

PLEASE take the time to fill out a form and return it to the Parish Office. You may also fold it in half and place it in the offertory basket or stamp and mail it, as it is self-addressed on the back of the page.

Engaged Encounter Weekends for 2011: Sept. 9-11 and Oct. 7-9 — couples are asked to register at least two months prior to the date chosen. One year to six months before the wedding is not too early to attend. Registrations are not accepted within 30 days before the wedding date without written approval of the priest, and couples must attend the entire weekend to receive credit. Natural Family Planning (NFT) Classes: Sunday, Sept. 11 and Sunday, Oct. 9 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Pre-registration is required. Cost per couple is $20.00. Catholic Ministry To The Sick...We are always in need of ministers to bring Communion to the patients at San Angelo Community Medical Center, Shannon Medical Center and Shannon Skilled Nursing Unit. If you are interested in serving, please attend a training meeting on September 7, at 7:00 pm in St. Francis Hall across from Sacred Heart Cathedral. In order to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion to the Sick, you must: (1) have the approval and recommendation of your pastor; (2) complete a criminal background check as required by the Diocese of San Angelo; (3) complete an “integrity in Ministry” workshop given by the diocese; and (4) attend the training session in September.
