The Afghanistan Investment and Reconstruction Task Force (Task Force) of the U.S. Department of Commerce facilitates and coordinates the Department’s activities that are designed to help Afghanistan develop a sustainable economy. The Task Force works closely with the Department’s Commercial Law Development Program and our Commercial Office in Kabul. Our efforts focus on helping Afghanistan develop: • A commercial legal environment that supports trade, investment and private sector-led growth. We have conducted business contracting training, providing advice on Arbitration and are creating a commercial legal initiative with American University in Kabul. • A more capable and competitive private sector. Future plans to expand the capacity to 200 tons per day are in place and will be completed in 2012. Based in the strategic border town of Hairaton it forms part of the group oil trading and fuel storage business. am Oil has fuel storage capacity of 34 000 tons. KAM CONSTRUCTION Established in 2001 Kam Construction has constructed numerous buildings such as schools, training facilities as well as the erection of bridges along the Salang Pass. am Construction also has road building and maintenance capabilities weather ground or asphalt. We are a prime contractor to the US Corps of engineers. KAM TRADING Kam Trading is the import /export arm of Kam Group as well an oldest, with over 20 years of experience in the region. Kam Trading is primary business is in food and fuel. It has offices and ware housing in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. KAM LOGISTICS Kam Logistics comes with the same branding that has made KAM a name you can rely on for quality and service. There is not a logistic problem we cannot solve.
