Sue de Zwart has been volunteering at golf tournaments since her 1st tournament – the AT & T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach in 1997. In most situations it would seem that you are thrown in at the deep end where you learn to operate under pressure whilst facing the fantastic challenge of producing the ultimate playing surface.

I

cherish what I’ve learnt form from working four Masters & three U.S. Opens. I recently returned to work the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. Gerhard van Rooyen, resort superintendent of Fancourt and Guy Kleu, de Zalze superintendent joined me for this fantastic event.

We have created a volunteer culture at Leopard Creek which has been fantastic. We provide accommodation & meals for the volunteers and their assistance is invaluable.
