Dancing on the edge of time -how cold they are. There is no heavier burden Know, that we are immortal. Eternity in the eyes are reflecting with sorrow and blackness. Nothing changed Death again will pass side. Nothing changed We are forever at the "edge". Disappeared Soul and Name, We are neither in hell or in paradise.

Isabel Garmon

I´m Isabel Garmon, illustrator based in Madrid. I studied graphic design in the city where I was born, and then the drawing was sleeping inside me woke up; so I decided to travel to Madrid, and I started illustration studies. I like exploring new ways of expression, using the best medium for every illustration I work. I love the human figure and my creations are made by traditional techniques, but always in the final phase I use digital ways to get lights and contrasts that this one let me . So I am only have to say now that I hope you´ll enjoy with my work. blog: http://isagarmon.tumblr.com/ facebok: http://www.facebook.com/ isabelgarmon twitter: http://twitter.com/isa_garmon

Here There Be Dragons

Olena Sullivan

Toronto, Canada

I始ve been a graphic artist for over 20 years and I find these visual arts principles have helped me with my incamera photo composition, understanding light and form, and allow me to use my digital skills to add a more fine art quality to my imagery.

(CIRKUMFLEKS)Magazine

I started out shooting the urban landscape, finding beauty in the quiet solitude of the abandonments in the Northeastern US rust belt. Looking for a fresh challenge, I decided to try my hand at people photography. Keeping with my fascination and love for that which lies in the fringes of society, the underground, and the risqu茅 I explored the world of burlesque, a sexually charged performance art that has enjoyed a revival in North America. >>>>>>

Olena_Sullivan. The Mollyfly Experiment

I fell in love with the energy of the performance, the creativity of the artists in their costuming and dance, and their charisma. It is a completely inclusive art form - it does not discriminate based on gender, race, sexual preference, size, shape, religious belief, social status, political leaning or class. The vibrant energy of the genre and the people behind the characters become the true story behind my photos - shot both live in performance and in the studio. The majority of my work at this time revolves around burlesque performers - each photo session inspires a sense of time, place, or mood and I work with these three principles to create the final images. Evening tea with Shards of stars fall from the sky, is night and me at the window as usual. I love the atmosphere of winter in the evening time… Imagine some candles, a book, a hug, a gift ribbon fallen on the floor and many stories. I am watching the snow on the street and from every snowflake I am making a story. You know, like when we were kids and we used to invent stories from every little thing. Something like… the fallen leaves on the ground, turn them into big and white butterflies, the sugar box from the kitchen turns into snow, then you sit on the snow and watch the stars, it looks like a winter blanket which you use to warm up. And sitting there, waiting, you feel like actually sleep somewhere between the clouds and your bed is as whole sky. Snowing like in a love story. Nostalgia, love, regrets … a slight pain of a lost love. Snow brings the silence, kills the words but animate the thoughts. And, in the silence of the street, someone on the other side of the sidewalk trying to remove snow… so sad, an emancipated slavery. The time is frozen, and the petty world pass by my window playing their idiot role.

(CIRKUMFLEKS)Magazine

No one thinks that in fact that time is created for hot chocolate and tea with cinnamon, not for any other kind of stupid pettiness. I never understood why older people do not like winter. At least during winter, we feel that everything it is pure. The houses covered by the snow look like cakes covered by fluffy whip cream and the glow of the snow seems like someone has sprinkled sparkles on it. How nice, isn’t it? I never liked the cakes but the idea that everything looks like a big cream cake, makes me smile. And I am thinking about us… what would happen if the sky would froze us embraced, you know, as one framed photo, so many memories, so many dreams. To stay so embraced, dreaming the sound of wind, clothed with purity of snow and slide on ice made of tears lost in another world. A better one, only for us, made by remnants of happiness and smiles, made by snowflakes, winters, white, silence…

Margo Wiessman

Building I am made up only of windows and doors. My windows are high, no glass, no curtains and doors are always open. They do not even know the word “lock”. And anyone can take a look inside or to enter. And they stand as much as they want: minutes, months, years. But when they leave, they take with them some of me. They broke pieces from the furniture of my soul. And they chopped my confidence. They took it as a blanket for their couch. From my innocence, they tore strips to make their doormats. And from my love … my love, they bite with their sharp teeth repeatedly, to have what to hang on the wall. They took everything from me just to decorate their own soul. What for? Why to portrays on the feeling of someone else? For which reason, you wrap with someone else’s memories? And yet, I never close the doors and I never close the windows… I just offer myself to the others until there is nothing left from me and with nobody else from the others. You are comprised only of walls. Your walls are so tall and thick that one can not penetrate them. You have no doors, no windows. You said you did not need them. There, nobody goes anyway. You are locked and no one can steal something from you.

(CIRKUMFLEKS)Magazine

But even like this you have many scars. Because, from time to time, some people have managed to get over your walls. They stayed there for a while, then they left, having under their nails, in their mouth and the hair, parts of you. And now, standing behind your old walls you refuse to let other people to join. You do not want to lose what you still have. And, because of your fear, you forgot… you have forgotten that we are not all thieves. You forget that some of us, we offer ourselves to others unconditionally. Without asking anything in return, without taking anything back. You forget that some of us could fix you. And you don´t hear … You don´t hear that some of us, we scream your name, asking you to let us in, without the hidden intention, without wanting to harm you. You don´t hear because of the walls that you strengthens every day. And you stay closed, keeping up only your own person, until one day, you will not be enough for yourself. And neither you nor I, we do not know … but my windows need your walls and your walls may love my doors.

I live on the inner side of the world and that’s why all the things I see from other side and reviewed in a different way. I am a man of fashion, a person of the world things, I like things and understand them and things reci procate to my feelings. I am a life mechanic and I see all the world construction clear, like everyone can see a dress construction on the wrong side of the cloth.  And I can put it into words easily. I am absolutely unable to express my thoughts concise. Now I working on a book about clothes, fashion and style and the underlying motives to dress. I have some stories and unfinished novel, and also I write fairy-tales. I don’t teach you what to do, to wear, to live, I give you my point of view, as I see it

In my opinion to make sure that makeup is a must, all you need is just have to look in the mirror. If this fails, then look in the mirror with make-up and without makeup. The difference will be obvious. In the world there are no women who will look better without makeup  than with it. If you do not like your make-up, you just do not know how to apply it, or you picked the wrong image. But how could you do this? We all have models of beauty. Some like contrasting appearance of Snow White, and someone prefer gentle charm of Goldilocks. Same thing is with make-up there are supporters of aggressive colors and obvious techniques such as black arrows, smoky eyes, scarlet lipstick, but many adherents of different natural solutions - make-up, on the

The rest depends on your self-confidence. If you are a brave person, then you will found no difficult to wear bold makeup Dita Von Teese at the office, or be a new Brigitte Bardot. If you are by nature modest and can not fight back the public opinion, you will approach a softer version. But not its compleate absence! If you have enough courage, you will have to admit that without makeup you just do not look as good as it. Someone will look like in the last stage of consumption with its natural pallor. Someone will feel sleepy and tired, yet does not use mascara. Many people can not live without a foundation, which will hide a little roughness of the skin. There are ladies who do not feel at ease until they put lipstick.

The fact you will look better, is not require proof. Fresher, younger, prettier. Do not choose a colorful make-up, if you are not feeling uncomfortable with it, feel like a artificially painted doll and do not find the strength in yourself to match the exterior picture.

[innerside]look

Cloths philosophy is that any person can be dressed up and put make-up like a doll, but no one became by this different. You will not became this other person, not gain new qualities, just by changing your appearance. Any change requires a careful analysis of the image, if you want to show what is hidden in the depths of your personality, and the findings may be unexpected.

(CIRKUMFLEKS)Magazine

It's one thing if you do not know how to show your mystery inherent outward or passion, which is undoubtedly present in you, but if you want to transform into a different person, because  you do not like yourself, without having any of the desired quality, it  will be problematic. You will have to live in this image, and the image demands to be carried. If you find yourself unable to match it, the image will bail you out of all the strength and devastate you. Personally, I always recommend to start with mascara. For some this recommendation is the first and the last. This item does wonders to your face. You can put make-up eyes and lipstick, and you will definitely look better. If it's not enough, you can always add a couple of lines or shadows. Of course, any bright eye makeup requires from you to apply a foundation, but just mascara makes you a little more beautiful, and does not require a perfect background. Besides mascara does not stain, is not going away and it is not necessary to correct for the day, which is important for beginners and lazy ones.

1.2013

The secret of the miracle is that eyelashes fade and discolor, mascara is covers them with color and volume , and so you getting those eyelashes that you actually have, but which no color just not visible. Mascara makes sense to buy more expensive, and choose to brush. Because cheap mascara can hold fragile and unsuitable brush complicate the process and may discourage you want to fight with her. What gives you make up?

Secondly, makeup allows you to be yourself. You feel like a beautiful woman? Of course yes. Well, if the mirror is not always confirms this, it is only a starting field for experimentation. And so, if you are wearing makeup, you will be taken appropriately. Just agree with me, it is too naive and stupid to look ugly faded girl that smiles dreamily to a handsome stranger. It is quite another thing when a nice girl give the smile. And the difference is only with a few brush strokes. In just two minutes, dedicated to the manipulation with mascara - and all your movements acquire a different meaning. Now you can confidently make eyes to a stranger on the subway, your sincere smile has another weight, and at work you are not some kind of ugly from another department, but that cute girl in scarf.

(CIRKUMFLEKS)Magazine

[innerside]look

Firsrtable, sense of self. Without makeup you realize that either your seductive smile and every languishing look - just silly faces. Rarely whom nature gives a sincere beauty that does not need makeup! And if you meet this kind of  man, then I bet it's either a Roman waiter or Romanian physicist. But if you're not the one and not the other, and just a girl - make up is your passport to other worlds.

1.2013

To put a makeup in the morning and forget about it, because now all is allowed. Wearing makeup, then at least pretty, and if self-esteem is not low, than at once beautiful. You will live your life and make-up will work for you. But those who have already passed this first step, new options become available. Another makeup is another image. If you are not limited to mascara, then you become the actual various methods of presenting yourselves. If to introduce  the color - lipsticks, eye shadows, blush - you can already pick up a make-up to garments, to weather, to the image. Build yourself up, arrange a small theater. Today you Carmen, and tomorrow, Pippi Long-stocking, but never more sad mole. And one more thing - for God's sake do not believe men when they say what they like.

[innerside]look

Men are much more primitive than they want to appear. You see, they even dream about  great and pure love instead expose exotic conditions and shine with originality.

(CIRKUMFLEKS)Magazine

A classic example of the old illustrations of mothers wisdom "do not listen to what the gentlemen say, watch what they do" is the story of John Lennon, who always said that he likes tall long-haired blonde. And divorced to marry such a little, legged Japanese woman. If a man told you that you are stunningly beautiful and you do not need to use cosmetics that you are beautiful without make-up, he didn't said, two important words: good for me. It is possible that he himself believes in it, but this fact does not eliminate the heavy consequences.

1.2013

[innerside]look

He checks whether he have you, no more. He checks did you already assigned him the one and only and he can relax about you, and stop starch himself? And if you breathed a sigh of relief - you can stop put a makeup finally to say goodbye to the onerous duties and relax - the bulb lit up. From now on, he knows that you have done everything to please him and will continue to do so. You have just shown yourself to him that your world has shrunk to the size of the views of that particular man, and that the purpose of your life was he, after all you've got it and do not try to please someone else, the other men do not exist and you do not care that they can like you. Little nuance is that you have not got him. Maximum, is a check mark in the notebook of the victory scores, that every man keeps in his mind. And what a strange situation you have put yourself. But it is not hopeless. As long as you show him indifferent to the opinions of other men, your life belongs to him. Do not let the man turn your life into an amorphous serve his vanity. You deserve more. He needs to know that you care about yourself. Even if your work is bad - pretend it's worth it! A man has to understand that you did not give up on yourself, that your own life is still in your hands, that you are interested in the world and want to make the world interested in you. You have to achieve this, do not follow his every whim, follow yours. And let him fulfill  your your whims, it is useful.

Determine for yourself what you like, what fits you, what fits your lifestyle and inner feeling, find an image that will support you and not hinder your life artificiality. And you will be surprised how your life will blossom. Yes, even if only in your imagination, the emotions that you will get a very real, isn't it for those all this is planned? (Changeant Trapier)

Ksenya Lozitskaya

Hello, my name is Ksenya Lozitskaya, but often I turn into Discorat. I'm a photographer and illustrator from Kiev, Ukraine. I'm in love with photography for three years. I am a real fan of visual art. Aside from photography, I practice illustration. I don't try to catch real life moments in my photographs, I don't want to convey a mood, show my soul or provoke any thoughts. I create the photograph artificially from beginning to end, all that matters to me is a striking image, light and color. Creation of the 'image' is what I am interested in the most, which is why I chose photography. I have recently started to combine photography with graphics and drawing. By doing that, I can achieve the ideal result - so surreal, but so needed. I enjoy every aspect of working with photographs, starting from planning the look and finishing with editing the final result. I'm inspired by love, endless images on the internet, beautiful people, colors, and the thoughts that come before going to sleep.

If my work should have a meaning, it would be this one: capture inexplicable, unique, strange, magic moments … Moments of one second resulting from our most intimate thoughts….as we wink… like a dream. I like imagining disturbing, lugubrious and dark universes where even the purest and the most wonderful of the beauties, plunged into the black could only be sublimated by strong contrasts. Worlds lost in our imagination; moments stolen from our unconscious … Structured as tales and fables, my pictures are based on bibliographic reflections, on infinite researches concerned our way of observing what surrounds us. The objective being to create unhoped feelings where an immediate reality lead the spectator in a much deeper dimension… to the essence of things. My work is inspired by real stories, by philosophic princi ples and by literary works such as those of Kafka or Ionesco: universes loaded with symbols, absurd stories and without any sense, where, a first reading surprises, shocks, seduces and locks the reader into labyrinths which lead finally on wrong goals. Indeed, I like the intense stories, which represents a simple reality, often hard, hidden under a world of glitter.

Re Nouveau

When I was a little kid, at nightfall, my mother used to tell me stories of crows and other mystical creatures living in magical forests… Night tales where enchantment and gloominess would intermingle… I would then imagine what I could not see and would therefore end up wandering into a world that did not belong to anyone, that other world made of magic and darkness: that of Julie Annabelle Schimel. “Re Nouveau” is the first exhibition of this young Parisian photographer. Julie Annabelle Schimel is introducing us to a tale and, as the usual tales did, this one comes from stories that have turned into legends, legends that turned into myths, myths turned into whispers just like the Grimms Brothers, Perrault and La Fontaine did when using old tales and simply adding their fantasies, wills or other personal visions, created different worlds where wolves would be locked up in a cruel, dreadful world or where the princess would change a toad into a prince. Their aim remained the same: linking childhood and innocence to adulthood. (CIRKUMFLEKS)Magazine

Julie Annabelle Schimel’s work is made up as make-up: an analogy between a myth and fashion where the appearance creates an image, a tale. One could say that fairy tales and fashion are alike: indeed, one always ends up facing princesses, witches and other fascinating creatures. This is exactly what Julie Annabelle Schimel does through images filled with magic, darkness, lights and shadows symbols. She is only 23 and thanks to her, we can all dive into her world and meet fairy tales characters such as Alice in Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood and even Snow White. She uses her lens to show us how today’s fashion leads us towards a world of fantasy, cruelty, lies and mysteries. Her need to tell a story brings us closer to her fantastic images and creations where value, intelligence and innocence are printed on black shots. “In a (un)known world…” is the special way Julie Annabelle Schimel starts her new “Re Nouveau” to perform her research on photography and fashion.

1.2013

I do not know about Wonderland, but Julie Annabelle Schimel has managed to make me enter her universe as if I were the small rabbit sneaking its head into the hole. Her “Re Nouveau is a dark landscape full of strange lights coming from our dreams, a universe filled with biographical thoughts and endless research on the viewing and the questioning we all have when it comes to daily concerns. Julie Annabelle Schimel dives into the universe of fashion and takes us with her into the woods, enabling us to feel the essence and the power of images.

(Cirkumfleks)Magazine: Where are you getting your inspiration? Mina: music .. books ... eroticism and sensuality, city, people .... all God's creation... I don’t photograph subjects. I photograph the way they make me feel. Admittedly, it’s a bit of a strange concept. But it’s honest – and it’s the best way to describe my approach to the craft. I wrestle with every image I shoot. If that’s all you ever know about me, it’s enough to say you know me very, very well.

I was born in Southern California, but have spent the last 20 years living in Chile,. I have no training or education in photography or art, I started doing street photography and with this I found how much black and white interested me. I have now come to use photography as a language, I choose the subjects, lighting, etc to convey a message or feeling.

Petra Terova My name is Petra and I'm a fine art portrait photographer based in Jacksonville, Florida. Born and raised in former Czechoslovakia I immigrated to the United States in 1999. I received my AS in Graphic Design Technology from Florida State College at Jacksonville (2008) and BFA with concentration in Photography from University of North Florida (2012). I've been working in the creative arts industry mainly as a freelance print designer since 2007. In May 2012 I created Petrova Photography specializing in fashion, lifestyle, family and creative portraiture. I’ve always been fascinated with people around me. All people are compelling subjects to me because I think that everyone is a bit eccentric and mysterious. Photography allows me to observe, contemplate and to steal glimpses of beauty that I believe everyone possesses. We all see the beauty within ourselves but we don't always recognize it in others. Portraits allow viewers to create stories, for me it is the curiosity and the beauty that I strive to infuse into my photographs. In my portraits I also like to experiment with colors and digital textures, which are both used as means to alter the reality. The lack of reality then allows the audience to contemplate their own feelings and emotions upon the image.
