SEE STUDENT SERVICES FOR ASSISTANCE WITH: Enrolments (including confirmation and re-enrolments) Student Services processes all aspects of your enrolment and can provide confirmation thereof to various government agencies as required. Invoices / Fees / Charges / Refunds Upon your enrolment, you will be issued a payment schedule, detailing payment amounts and due dates. Invoices are normally issued on request. Please monitor all charges to your account via the Student Portal and contact Student Services immediately if there are any abnormalities. FEE-HELP If you are a domestic student on FEE-HELP, please double check all charges on your CAN NOTICE, which is issued after Census Date/s each trimester. Contact Student Services immediately if there are any abnormalities.

eCOE (Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment) Student Services issues eCOEs for all international students upon enrolment which is a document required in the Student Visa application process. If a change to enrolment increases the duration of your studies (candidature), Student Services will re-issue your eCOE with a new course end-date. International Students should double check all details of their eCOEs and contact Student Services immediately if there are any abnormalities. Please note, it is the responsibility of the student to extend their visa and report any changes to their circumstances to DIAC – Student Services cannot do this for you, due to privacy restrictions. Transcripts Full transcripts of your academic records are normally issued upon completion of your study, or upon request. Order transcripts from Student Services. Change of Contact Details It is extremely important that we know how to reach you, so please keep your contact details up-to-date. A “Change of Contact Details” form is available at Reception. RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) / Credit Transfer You may apply for RPL or credit transfer if you have prior qualifications and/or professional experience. Submit your application form and supporting documentation for assessment to Student Services by the first day of trimester. It is your responsibility to have approval of ALL units of RPL at the START of the course. You may not be considered for RPL if you make an application part way through your candidature. Transfers to other SAE Campuses Contact Student Services via email to indicate your wish to transfer. Student Services will then liaise with the respective campuses on your behalf. Student ID and Campus Access Please see Student Services if you have lost your Student ID or are experiencing difficulties with access.

Our on site Student Services Advisors are here to support your wellbeing and academic success during your time at SAE. They can provide disability, welfare and learning support as well as assistance for international students. Student Services Advisors can assist with crisis situations and refer you to other internal and external support services. Contact the Student Services Advisor for any study-related issues: • Exam and assignment stress • Time management • Disability and equity adjustments • Health and welfare issues requiring academic adjustments and communication with the academic team. General support SAE also offers a free and confidential counselling service to students who are struggling with other issues or personal circumstances that might be impacting their wellbeing and capacity to study. Our Counsellors are on placement in their final stage of study and are closely supervised by experienced and highly qualified SAE staff ensuring high quality of service delivery. Our counsellors can help you with problems you face by helping you find strategies, tools and perspectives on personal issues related to relationships, study or work life.

LIBRARY GUIDE BORROWING • You will need your ID card each time you borrow • You are allowed to borrow a maximum of eight items at a time • You are not allowed more than two 7-day, 2-day, or In House items at once • Items are available for two weeks unless marked otherwise • In-house items are for use on campus only and must be returned by close of business each day RENEWALS • Items that loan for two weeks can be self-renewed up to two times. AV items, Magazines and In House items cannot be self-renewed • To self-renew items, use the Self-Check machine in the Resource Store or access your online Library Account via the Library Portal. To renew items once the self-renew limit has been reached, see the Librarian Items with holds cannot be renewed HOLDS (RESERVATIONS) • You can only place a hold on items which are on loan • To place a hold, contact library staff or do it yourself through your online Library Account (via the Library Portal) • You will be notified by email when your item/s are ready to collect RETURNS • Place all items for return into the Library Returns chute OVERDUES • To avoid fines, renew your loans before the due date • Fines for overdue items are: - Two week items - $1 per day - 7-day, 2-day or In House items - $2 per day • You must pay the replacement cost and an additional $30 fine for lost or damaged items. Items past 20 days overdue are considered “lost”

HOW TO FIND BOOKS AND JOURNALS • Use “One Search” to find books and journals in the Library’s collections • If you are inside the Resource Store, use an iPad to help search the collections and more. • If you are at home, type the following address into a browser - http://library.saeaustralia.edu.au • To search for items in “One Search” choose a search category from the dropdown list, then type your keyword/s into the search field and hit enter • If you find a physical item that you wish to borrow, note the shelving location (call number) eg 620.2 EVE • Items are placed on the shelf in a numerical/alphabetical order (SAE uses the Dewey Decimal System) MY ACCOUNT • Login to the catalogue to view information about your Library account • Your Login is your Student ID. Your Password is your Day and Month of Birth (ddmm) • When logged in, you can... - View and renew items you have on loan - View and cancel your holds - View any fines - View your Reading History (also known as ‘Loan History List’) COLLECTIONS The Library & Learning Centre has a number of collections • General, AV (includes CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays), Magazines, Short Loan, In House • Short Loan and In House collections consist of items in heavy demand such as prescribed texts and core readings. These items are located in the Reserve section of the Resource Store and are available for a 2 day loan or In House Use Only

LIBRARY GUIDE ONLINE RESOURCES The Library & Learning Centre provides students with access to electronic journals, e-books, training videos and more. Current electronic subscriptions include: Ebrary’s Academic Complete, Lynda.com, ACM Digital Library, AES E-Library, Proquest and Expanded Academic. • Your Login is your Student ID. Your Password is your Day and Month of Birth (ddmm) • Access to all LLC e-resources is available through http://ezproxy.saeaustralia.edu.au:2048/login PHOTOCOPYING / PRINTING / SCANNING • Facilities include A3, A4, colour, black and white, CD/DVD labels & covers • At the start of your course there is a one-off credit of $30 added to your printing account • You can recharge your printing account in $2, $5, $10 or $20 amounts at the Library or Tech Support • Printing is only available from within the MAC OS on the Library’s computers. Use the presets available to print in colour or black & white. The paper size must be the sized paper you wish to print on eg. A4 or A3, not US letter or B5 • For CD/DVD label & cover printing you must book your print job with the Librarian. Jobs take one business day to complete. Your work must be submitted to the Librarian in the correct format. See the Librarian for more information • For photocopying, type you ID into the box located at the top right of the photocopier • Scanning is free SAE STRONG FOUNDATIONS PROGRAM Strong Foundations is a learning support program available to all students at no additional charge. The LLC supports this program via learning assistance through guides, workshops and ongoing one-on-one support. For more information see the campus SSA or Librarian. HELP Library & Learning Centre staff are pleased to help you find information for your assignments. Guides and other support materials are available electronically through the Library Portal and in print in the Library & Learning Centre.
