Student Affairs First Superhero Announced! Esther Campa recognized for her hard work
On September 10, Dr. Robert Vela and Emma Mendiola presented Esther Campa, Academic Counselor, with the very first Division of Student Affairs Superhero. Esther is recognized for her hard work and dedication, going above and beyond the call of duty and juggling multiple tasks. Esther said she doesn’t feel like a superhero because she loves what she does and “enjoys assisting students to make their experience at SAC a pleasant one.” Congratulations Esther! The Student Affairs Superhero is a new initiative to recognize Student Affairs staff and faculty who work hard and are dedicated to student success. The Student Affairs Superhero is awarded bi-weekly and chosen by the current superhero recipient. Office of the Vice-President of Student Affairs www.alamo.edu/sac/StudentAffairs

A Message from Dr. Robert Vela, Vice-President of Student Affairs Team, In higher education it’s a given that the start of each semester is going to be busy. Many of us come to work earlier, some stay later, others work through lunch. Regardless, we are all working hard to achieve the same goal: student’s success. We have over 25,000 students registered at San Antonio College. Some of you interact with many of these students in person, on the phone, or via email. Some of you don’t communicate with students, but manage programs, services, or even facilities that these students will utilize at some point during their time at San Antonio College. Whatever your role, you are vital to the continued success of our students. So, THANK YOU for all you do! Best wishes on a great semester,
