MARCHELLA ABBATE, GRADE 12, DANCE CAPTAIN Marchella Abbate is a senior at SHA and is very excited to be a featured dancer for her third and final SHA musical. She has been studying dance for 12 years at Performing Arts Studio Be, and would like to thank her very talented dance instructor, Michelle Natalino-Bonavena, for shaping her into the dancer she is today. Marchella would also like to recognize Mrs. Delaney for giving her such a memorable and unforgettable experience these past three years. Finally, Marchella would especially like to extend her gratitude to her family for their incredible love and support both on and off the stage.

BRITTANY BARBOUR, GRADE 12, INVENTOR Brittany has appeared on the Shubert stage in the previous SHAmusicals, Singin’ in the Rain and West Side Story. She also helped paint the drop for The Little Mermaid. This year, Brittany is thrilled to share her senior show by performing with her brother, Alex. She would like to thank her friends and family for their continued support.

JENNA BASILE, GRADE 11, JEMIMA POTTS Jenna Basile is currently a junior at Sacred Heart Academy and has enjoyed being a part of the SHA musicals for the past two years as a featured dancer in West Side Story, where she won a Halo Award for “Best Featured Dancer”, and The Little Mermaid. She is beyond excited to be playing the role of Jemima in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang this year. Besides the SHA musicals, Jenna attends Triple Threat Dance Company where she dances competitively. She would like to thank Mrs. Delaney and Mrs. Curbow for giving her this great opportunity and for always believing in her, along with her family, friends, teachers, and the entire cast and crew.

ASHLEIGH BASS, GRADE 12, QUEEN VICTORIA Ashleigh Bass is a senior this year and is so excited for SHA’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She has participated as ensemble in Singin’ In The Rain (freshman year), the Somewhere Soloist in West Side Story and Belle in Notre Dame’s Beauty and the Beast (sophomore), Adella in The Little Mermaid and Mayzie La Bird in ND’s Seussical (junior). She is so thankful for friends, family, and everyone involved with SHA and ND musicals for helping her on this journey.

CATIE BECKWITH, GRADE 12, DANCER Catie Beckwith is a senior and is looking forward to her fourth performance with Sacred Heart Academy. She has studied dance for 14 years and has performed in Singin’ In the Rain, West Side Story, The Little Mermaid, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as a featured dancer. She would like to thank her friends, family, and the cast and crew of Chitty for all their love and support.

ADRIANNA BRACALE, GRADE 12, DANCE CAPTAIN Adrianna Bracale is a senior at SHA. Adrianna studies and teaches dance at Dance Unlimited in Hamden and has been dancing there for sixteen years now. This is her fourth SHA musical; she has previously played the role of Toots in West Side Story. Adrianna would like to thank her dance teachers, friends, and family for all their support throughout the years.

MADISON BRENCHAK, GRADE 12, BORIS THE SPY

Madison Brenchak is a senior and is thrilled to play the role of Boris the Spy in her 4th SHA musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She has had the privilege of playing the roles of Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Graziella in West Side Story, and a featured dancer in Singin’ in The Rain. She would like to thank Mrs. Delaney, Mrs. Curbow, her voice coach Marianna Dadamo, dance teachers Jill Chase and Mary McKenzie Sa, her family, friends, and fellow cast members for their constant support, love, and umoja.

ERYNNE BROWNING, GRADE 12, INVENTOR This will be Erynne’s fourth and final performance with Sacred Heart. She has previously performed in Singing in the Rain, West Side Story and The Little Mermaid. Additionally she has participated in the Notre Dame Drama Club’s production of Seussical as a Who. Erynne would like to thank her family and friends for their endless love and support, along with the cast and crew of Chitty for giving her an insurmountable amount of memories to hold onto in the years to come!

KARA BYRNE, GRADE 12, CHILD CATCHER Kara is senior and this will be her fourth and final show with Sacred Heart Academy. She has loved every moment of performing on the Shubert stage. Kara would like to thank her friends and family for all the love and support over the last four years. She would also like to thank Mrs. Delaney, from whom she has learned so much.

KAITLYN CARBONI, GRADE 12, INVENTOR Kaitlyn Carboni is a senior at Sacred Heart Academy and has been a part of the musical since her sophomore year. She has performed in West Side Story (ensemble), The Little Mermaid (Chef/ Maid), and this year’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Inventor). Kaitlyn wants to thank her family and friends for their support, and Mrs. Delaney and Mrs. Curbow for their assistance and guidance.

VERONICA CICCONE, GRADE 12, TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS Veronica is a senior at SHA and has been involved in the school musical since freshman year. Her passion for performing started at a very young age.Veronica would like to thank her mom for always encouraging her to follow her dreams and for providing her with every opportunity to be the best version of herself. She would also like to thank Mrs. Delaney for this amazing opportunity and for her artistic visions that will continue to inspire her in years to come.

JOSEPH COSS, GRADE 12, NOTRE DAME HIGH SCHOOL, BARON BOMBURST Joe is so excited to join the SHAmusical family for his fifth and final show! He is so grateful to his family, and especially brother, for helping him develop his love for theater ever since middle school. From running lines with his father, to helping paint scenery with his mother, he has been able to achieve his dream of performing at the historic Shubert Theater one last time.

ABIGAIL COTÉ, GRADE 12, DANCER Abigail Coté is a senior at SHA. Abigail studied gymnastics for 10 years but switched to dancing and is now on her 10th year of dance at Dance Unlimited. She has been in Singin’ in the Rain, West Side Story, and The Little Mermaid at SHA as a featured dancer. Abigail would like to thank all of her family, teachers, dance teachers, and everyone at her studio including parents.

JOELLE COTÉ, GRADE 12, BOMBETTE Joelle Coté is delighted to perform in her senior show as a Vulgarian Bombette! Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will be her 4th SHA Musical among which she has performed as a Princess and a “Joellyfish” in The Little Mermaid, as well as ensemble roles in West Side Story and Singin’ in the Rain. She has also performed in Notre Dame’s productions of Seussical as JoJo and Beauty and the Beast as Chip. Joelle is beyond grateful for her family, Mrs. Delaney, Mrs. Mangini, the entire Sacred Heart community, and especially her fellow seniors for surrounding her with constant love and sharing the joys of theatre with her these four years!

MAAME-ADJOA EDJAH, GRADE 12, BOMBETTE Maame-Adjoa Edjah has been in the SHA musical since her sophomore year, beginning with West Side Story, Little Mermaid, and is now performing in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. In this year’s musical, she will be playing one of the sassy Bombettes. She continues to do the musical because she enjoys learning new musicals and performing for the audience in the Shubert Theater. Maame-Adjoa also participates in Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field, orchestra; she plays the flute, sings for the Honors Chamber Choir, is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and is currently the co-president of SHAdes of SHA. Maame would like to thank her parents for supporting her, and Mrs. Delaney and Mrs. Curbow for guiding her throughout all the musicals.

DANIELLE FILARDI, GRADE 12, GORAN THE SPY Danielle Filardi is ecstatic to be cast as Goran the Spy in her senior musical. She has been previously cast as Aquata in The Little Mermaid and Moses Supposes Singer in Singin’ In The Rain. Danielle is most grateful to have met some of her best friends through her musical career at SHA. She wants to thank her friends and family for their continued support as well as her director and producer Mrs. Delaney and Coach Curbow. She also wants to thank anyone who purchased an ad through her!

SHAUN HILLIS, GRADE 12, HAMDEN HALL, GRANDPA POTTS Shaun Hillis is a senior at Hamden Hall Country Day School. This is Shaun’s tenth year of SHAmusical and he has had the privilege to have performed in: Les Miserables where he mastered the revolve, Fiddler on the Roof, Hairspray, The Wiz, White Christmas, Annie as Mr. Bundles, Singin’ in the Rain, West Side Story as Officer Krupke, The Little Mermaid as King Triton, and this year as Grandpa Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Shaun would like to thank Mrs. Delaney, Coach Curb, the Sisters, and especially his sister, Erin, for allowing him to fly into a world he could never imagine.

MEGAN HORVATH, GRADE 12, PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER This will be Megan’s fourth and final production with Sacred Heart Academy. She previously worked on crew in Singin’ in the Rain, as well as having preformed in West Side Story and The Little Mermaid. This year, she will retire from the stage to join the crew, taking up the role of Stage Manager. Megan would like to send her gratitude to her family and friends who have supported her over the years, along with the rest of the cast and crew for providing her friendships and memories she will cherish forever!

DESTINY HYMAN, GRADE 12, DANCER Destiny has been training at Gloria Jeans Studio of Dance for 15 years and has performed in 4 SHAmusicals: Singin’ in the Rain, West Side Story, The Little Mermaid, and now Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for all supporting her during her high school journey.

OLIVIA MANTERO, GRADE 12, BOMBETTE Olivia has performed in the previous three SHA productions of Singin’ in the Rain, West Side Story, and The Little Mermaid as a sailor and maid. She has also performed in Notre Dame West Haven’s productions of The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, and Seussical as a featured vocalist. She would like to thank her dad and her sister for being her biggest cheerleaders, her brothers for sharing this experience with her, and the amazing Mrs. Delaney and Coach Curbow for being such incredible inspirations to her throughout her Sacred Heart Academy theater career. ALEXA MANTOVANI, GRADE 11, BARONESS BOMBURST Alexa has been taking private vocal and dance lessons with Michelle Natalino-Bonavena at Studio Be for 10 years. She was also a lead in the world premiere of Her Song which debuted at the Ivoryton Theater in May. MEREDITH MCCONNELL, GRADE 12, INVENTOR Meredith McConnell is a senior in the Class of 2018. She has been in featured musicals since the fourth grade and has been in previous Sacred Heart productions of West Side Story and The Little Mermaid as a Jet and Princess respectively. AVISHAN MONTAZER, GRADE 12, TOYMAKER Avishan Montazer is a senior & this is her third SHA musical. She played Allegra, a Shark girl, in West Side Story, swam under the sea as Atina in The Little Mermaid, and is now so excited for her last show. RYAN MURPHY, GRADE 12, HAMDEN HIGH AND EDUCATIONAL CENTER FOR THE ARTS (ECA) IN NEW HAVEN, SPY Ryan has performed at Carnegie Hall, NFL’s Walter Camp Football Foundation,Yale Repertory Theater World Premiere musical We Have Always Lived in a Castle and a world premiere musical called Her Song, written by Jill Nesi and Nick Fradiani Sr, performed in prestigious venues across CT including the Ivoryton Playhouse, State Capitol and many more. LAUREN WILLIAMS, GRADE 12, VIOLET, BOMBETTE Lauren Williams is a senior at Sacred Heart Academy and is excited to be performing as the roles of Violet and a Bombette. When Rick is not on stage, he holds down a day job as the Regional Vice President for Jackson National. His daughter Madison is in her fourth and final SHA musical, and he is looking forward to sharing the stage with her!

DEAN POCWIERZ, GRADE 12, AMITY HIGH SCHOOL, SPY Dean Powierz is a senior at Amity High School. This will be his third SHA musical, previously portraying Windward in The Little Mermaid. Joanna Barragan ’14 Joanna Barragan is a senior at Southern Connecticut State University where she studies Communications. She is a happy graduate of the Sacred Heart Academy class of 2014 and served as a production intern for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Joanna also helped organize the Save A Life Tour visit to SHA, a program that highlights the importance of safe driving. She wishes her alma mater the best with this show!

Skipper Rankin is excited to be cast as “Jeremy” with this Sacred Heart Academy production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He caught the theatre bug in his debut to the stage as Oliver with Near West Theater’s production of the musical, Oliver! and went on to perform the role of Edgar in the musical Ragtime also with Near West Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio. Skipper has performed on the professional stage with Cleveland Playhouse in A Christmas Story and with Tommie Retter in NYC in Showbiz Kids. He is a freshman at Cheshire High School and ECA. When not acting and singing, he enjoys artistry, hanging out with friends, and running Cross Country / Track.

Ryan has been performing with SHA since he was 11 years old in The Wiz and continued on with White Christmas, Annie, Singin’ in the Rain, West Side Story, and The Little Mermaid. He also dances at Educational Center for the Arts and Triple Threat Dance Co.
