Narendra Sharmā (1913 – 1989) Pundit Narendra Sharmā, born on February 28, 1913 in Jahāngirpur, Uttar Pradesh was a writer, poet and lyricist. He was also a scholar ofn Hindi and Urdu literature and philosophy, along with Ayurveda and astrology. He received his higher education degree in literature from Allahabad University. He published “Abyudhay” newspaper in 1934. He joined the All India Congress Committee at Allahabad as Hindi Secretary to Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru in February 1955. Satyam Shivam Sundaram Sharma’s father passed away during early childhood and he was raised by his uncle. He married a young Gujarati woman Lyrics in English: in 1947 in Mumbai.
