What is unique about a Rye Y Summer? Positive Role Models

Rye Y camps are led by a team of fulltime, qualified professional directors. Our passionate and dedicated summer staff is selected for their strong character, maturity, enthusiasm and commitment to our Y values and serve as Professional Role Models for our campers. We pride ourselves on our staff retention and look forward to their return year after year.

ACA Accredited

The Rye Y camps are accredited by the American Camping Association. Every year, our programs must meet over 300 ACA health, safety and program quality standards in order to maintain our accreditation.

Counselor-to-Camper Ratios

At the Rye Y, we feel that the quality of our programs and success of your campers relies on low counselor to camper ratios. As an ACA accredited camp, we follow strict ratio policies based on camper’s ages: (counselor to camper) Ages 3-4 : 1: 4 Ages 4-6: 1:6 Ages 7-9: 1:8 Ages 10 & older: 1:10

We adhere to strict safety guidelines to help keep your children safe (see back cover)

Y Cares (Financial Assistance Program)

Through generous donations we are able to send hundreds of children to camp every summer who may not have afforded our programs otherwise. The Rye Y offers financial assistance for families who qualify. Y Cares Application forms are available at ryeycamp.org under the Resources/Forms tab.
