The exercise was to develop a non-existent visual image of the selected music, creating an illusionary space. The concept of surveillance was further developed into a formal expression.

In present society, our culture continues to form a cycle in our social context. The new becomes the old, changing the value of society. This imaginary space is where one deires change, a road to discovery uncovering curiosity, exploration, and mystery.

This cave-life space creates an environment, through it’s form and material, constructing a journey in the ‘urban jungle’.

Music provides a much deeper understanding, affecting the spatial perception of human and space. Conversely, the space enables an expression of music through storytelling and of relating.

The condominium is located at the Northeast corner of Dundas St / George St, Toronto. The purpose of the building is to increase the population of mixed income families to the area in order to produce a more diverse community. It is a non-profitable condominium providing affordable housing near the downtown core.

This home for a dance movement therapist is located on a 3x30m site within the urban city. The 1000m3 home accomodates the mundane rituals of daily life. This home provides a stage, stage backdrop, as well as a space for healing accessible to the neighbourhood and city.

The project intends to enhance the spatial experience of the users in producing a more vibrant atmosphere in urban context. The installation “RevitaLight” will transform the front-yard of Campbell House Museum into an interactive urban green space; it allows participants to trigger and operate the installation through the use of responsive technology. This prototype emphasizes a potential livelihood of urbanized green spaces throughout the city: an interactive sculpture during the day and interactive street furniture by night. The project intends to enhance the spatial experience of the users in producing a more vibrant atmosphere in urban context. By integrating technology and aesthetic in urban context where population density is high, RevitaLight aims to inspire and interest the public in adaptive design features, as well as to increase the value of unused spaces. Therefore, pedestrians will engage in a unique sensory experience during the night with this kinetic installation, reflecting the scale and spirit of the Nuit Blanche.
