Welcome to Annapolis Home Magazine’s annual publication, The Faces of Annapolis. We welcome to Annapolis the new First Lady of Maryland, Dawn Moore, and are proud to have her on the cover. As she shares a little bit about her background, she honors the one who has inspired her the most from her formative years up to today: her mother, Pandore Flythe.
The First Lady also highlights some significant changes in the interior of the mansion. There is an emphasis on Maryland’s African-American history, with a focus on the great minds and the courage of those confronting racism in its most insidious forms. It is terrific to have the Moore family in the Governor’s mansion, right here in our neighborhood.
In this issue of Faces, meet leading professionals who are excelling in their fields. When you read these sponsored profiles, you not only see a portrait of the entrepreneurial spirit and exceptional talent in our area, but you meet the people who make up the economy of greater Annapolis and the Eastern Shore.
Maryland is a state with wonderful parks. In these pages, we have put together a list of those we think are worth your visit.
And after researching some of the most interesting day trips available in our area, we present trip suggestions for each month of the coming year. Sometimes a day trip is just what you need to discover new terrain and take a break from your routine.
Producing Faces requires a great team effort and for that we thank Elizbeth Davis, Marjorie Boyd, Dylan Roche, Christine Fillat, Amber Trainer, Tony Lewis, Ryan and Samantha Gladhill, and Pat Stainke. We also thank Britney Marshall and the First Lady’s office for their wonderful support and collaboration.
Whether you are seeking a professional or planning a getaway, we have designed Faces as a resource you can refer to all year long.
Enjoy!Robert Haywood & Kymberly Taylor, Publishers
We are especially proud to feature her on our cover during the very early days of her tenure. We are so glad to see her, Governor Moore, their children Mia and James, and their dog, Tucker Balti Moore, settling into the Governor’s Mansion and making it their very own. At the very least, all of us here at Annapolis Home hope to introduce her to the best crab cake Annapolis has to offer.
The First Lady drew our attention to some noteworthy changes to the interior of the Colonial-style Georgian mansion, which has housed governors and their families since 1870. More than it has been in the past, it is becoming a place that reflects our state and our nation’s African American heritage. For instance, the conservatory is now referred to as the “Tubman Room.” Also, a portrait of Frederick Douglass is one of the first things people see upon entering the mansion.
Following are a few things we should know about our new neighbor. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in government relations, nonprofit work, building corporate partnerships, community organization, campaign strategy, and fundraising, she is passionate about empowering women, fostering economic opportunity, and championing the arts.
She has held positions at the highest levels of state government and has served on the board of nonprofit organizations such as Maryland’s State Theatre, Baltimore Center Stage, and iMentor, which partners with high schools in communities where the majority of students served will be first-generation college graduates.
She also served as chair of the Moore-Miller Inaugural Committee, whose efforts to promote inclusion contributed to a 30 to 40 percent increase in business for Black-owned businesses during the week of Governor Moore’s inauguration, supported 34 jobs with minority-, women-, and locally-owned businesses, and generated more than $1.5 million in labor income.
Working together, the First Lady and Governor Wes Moore established the Moore Family Foundation to offer “impact grants” to local nonprofits, empowering them to provide thought leadership and organizational support. Under her leadership, the foundation has invested strategically in education, community enrichment, health research and development, veterans organizations, and the arts.
A graduate of the University of Maryland College Park, Dawn holds a degree in Government and Politics and a certificate in Women’s Studies.
Annapolis Home asked the First Lady about the influences that have shaped her journey through life. How did she become a devoted mother, businesswoman, and leader who is so wise and full of insight? Able to handle and manage power in its simplest and most complex forms with kindness, judicial balance, and grace? The woman we see today who extends a personal welcome to us all and reminds us that the Governor’s mansion is our house too?
In the following letter, the First Lady highlights the fact that she comes from a family of advocates who believe in the importance of unions. And how, as a young child, she observed her mother, Pandore Flythe’s vocations as an advocate and mother, with a huge and powerful heart.
“My husband and I know how important this moment is for our state. As a family, we are honored to serve and we want to inspire others to do the same.”
- Dawn Flythe Moore
Thank you for welcoming our entire family to the beautiful city of Annapolis. We are grateful for your support and the many acts of kindness we’ve received since moving into Government House.
Like my husband, I have been a public servant my entire life, and it is my honor to serve as your First Lady. My priority is to lift up the progress made for Maryland during this administration. I’ll have a deep focus on my passions—advocating for women, economic prosperity for all Marylanders, and supporting opportunities through the arts.
My inspiration is my mother, Pandore Flythe. Her fight, her strength, and the love she has for her children and grandchildren is unmatched.
I come from a union family, and my parents stressed the importance of being involved and making a difference in the lives of others. From my mother, I learned the importance of advocacy which sparked my passion to be a champion for my community.
My mother continues to leave a lasting impact on my life. She is a wonderful example of a great woman, mother and civil servant.
My husband and I know how important this moment is for our state. As a family, we are honored to serve and we want to inspire others to do the same.
As your First Lady, I will fervently support this administration in its goal to leave no one behind, create a more equitable and inclusive state, and provide economic prosperity for all Marylanders.
I am honored to be part of this issue of Annapolis Home Magazine and allow readers a glimpse into our new home. It is my hope that Marylanders from every part of the state will have the opportunity to visit Government House and meet our family.Dawn Flythe Moore Dawn Flythe Moore with Governor Wes Moore and her family during the inauguration ceremony on January 18, 2023.
A revered figure and an unintimidated force in American history, Harriet Tubman dedicated her life to the causes of abolition, suffrage, and human rights. Born into slavery on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Tubman escaped to freedom in 1849 but made 20 return trips over the following decade to help more than 300 other enslaved people through the Underground Railroad. This bronze bust by artist Brendan O’Neill entered the Government House’s art collection in 2015 to celebrate Tubman’s legacy of fighting for freedom.
A celebration of expertise, small businesses, and entrepreneurship. Leading professionals share stories of their distinctive mission and commitment to service.
Arlene Critzos founded Interior Concepts, Inc. in 1979 and has created beautiful interiors ever since. Her personal experience— which encompasses European studies, travel, and multiple decorative arts degrees—influences her appeal for international interiors and creates a broad range of design capabilities.
“After decades of life experiences, travel, and influences of global cultures, I pride myself in melding my passion with my client’s vision,” Critzos explains.
She and her team of highly talented designers are known for their impeccable taste, professional manner, and expansive design capabilities. They approach every project by first understanding the client’s needs, quality expectations, budget, and timing. Then they work from concept to completion to balance a homeowner’s lifestyle and design.
Their most recent projects span the style spectrum from wellappointed family homes, beach homes, mountain retreats, large
flats, and estates in some of the most prestigious addresses. They have worked throughout the United States, England, Spain, the Middle East, Malaysia, and China, and they have been published in numerous national and local magazines.
Now in her 44th year in business, Critzos has grown Interior Concepts into a full-service, multi-tiered, award-winning design firm with 60 employees and a 50,000-square-foot warehouse.
In 1976, Chip Bohl founded a sole proprietorship in Annapolis, and today that business has grown to encompass an entire team of design professionals in architecture, interiors, and marketing, with a second office in Hudson, New York. These professionals are known for their eclectic, timeless design approach. Whether it is a waterfront or urban setting, they believe houses don’t stand alone— those houses exist in an ever-changing landscape, and the Bohl team intertwines the two to ensure the inside of a home coexists with the outside environment. From historic preservation and renovations to custom modern art houses, the Bohl team strives to create spaces of pure delight for their clients. The Bohl experience is unique in that they take their clients on a journey of architectural exploration, leaving them not only with a home that is entirely
attuned to their needs and wants, but with a better understanding of how their collaboration with them brought the space to life. To ensure that every detail is aligned with the clients’ expectations, Bohl incorporates virtual reality technology in each phase, allowing their clients to fully immerse themselves in the space and get a realistic feel for how their soon to be home will function.
Greg Younger discovered he had a gift for craftsmanship and a talent for understanding how to remodel a home to fit a client’s needs when he was growing up working with his father in the construction business. Greg loved the satisfaction he felt when he completed a project and his clients were overjoyed with the results. To him, there was no better feeling. Today, Greg still works to achieve those same results in his role as founder and owner of Younger Construction, based in Annapolis.
Handling residential construction and light commercial construction, his company specializes in custom homes, renovations, additions, and kitchens and bathrooms in Anne Arundel, Prince George’s, and Queen Anne’s counties.
Before any work starts, Greg meets with potential clients to discuss their desires and vision. He listens to their expectations of the design, timeline, and budget. Greg’s infectious energy helps clients overcome their fears and get excited about the project.
After Greg gets to know the client’s needs, he helps them select a design they will be happy with in the long run. Even before the work has begun, clients are amazed at the process. Greg and his
detail-oriented crew do not cut any corners. They pride themselves on being perfectionists and they understand the importance of clean lines. Above all, they strive to meet and exceed all client expectations.
Greg checks in with his clients regularly to make sure they are happy with how the project is going. This personal touch engages clients and enables them to be part of the process. Instead of feeling like a chore, the project feels more like a fun hobby. Seeing the look of joy on a client’s face when a job is complete is what attracted Greg to the business decades ago. Today, it’s still his favorite part of the job.

Artie Hendricks and Rob Calhan, co-owners of Landmark Roofing, have a long history together. They grew up in Annapolis, graduated from Annapolis High School, were best man at each other’s weddings (both of their wives’ names are Melissa!), and decided to start a business together.
In eight years, Landmark has emerged as a fast-growing, progressive, lean-forward company that focuses on providing the highestquality roofing, siding, gutters, windows, and door products throughout Central Maryland.
Landmark sets itself apart from other roofing and siding companies in several ways. Landmark’s attention to detail and quality has earned them the highest certification level possible from GAF— the President’s Club Award, which only 2% of roofing contractors in the United States qualify for. Landmark Roofing has also earned the James Hardie Elite Preferred certification, which is based on rigid standards, including quality installations and customer reviews. Landmark is proud of its certification levels and online reviews, as these are essential for any company to have when you are considering your roofing and siding needs.
Landmark has also recently expanded its service area to now include Queen Anne’s County. Additionally, Landmark now offers flat or low-slope commercial roofing solutions focusing on the TPO process.
Landmark Roofing has a fundamental business principle to give back to the community. Annually, Landmark provides a free roof for a family in need. Landmark recently has also been a major sponsor for the Anne Arundel County Food Bank’s Feeding Hope event, as well as sponsoring the Wellness House of Annapolis. They are also members of the Annapolis Chamber of Commerce. Hendricks and Calhan are driven to help and support by giving back to their community wherever and whenever they can.

Designing a home remodel with an addition, an additional story, or a custom home should be exciting and fun for a client—that’s the philosophy of John Johnson, founder and president of Creative Spaces Remodeling, a design-build firm located in Annapolis. And that’s why Johnson created his proven 10-Step process to ensure he and his team deliver smart design, quality craftsmanship, and superior communication.
CSR specializes in delivering this with in-house architecture, product specialists, interior and exterior designers, and a production team passionate about bringing it all together to create your new home. Their specialty is waterfront homes, and it all starts with listening very carefully to clients’ needs and desires first before designing.
Johnson has been in the building industry for more than 30 years and was a carpenter by trade. In the beginning, he started working for a commercial contractor as a laborer and worked his
way up to superintendent, building some of the finest restaurants in D.C., churches, renovating hotels, and working on the White House. But it was when he was asked to start doing work for the executive’s personal homes that Johnson’s true passion took shape as a residential builder. “I love what I do,” Johnson says. “I just do.” Johnson’s passion is to take your existing home and turn it into something truly extraordinary. Or take your vision and create a custom home that inspires, excites, and enhances your quality of life.

In April 2022, Kate Ries, ASLA, took over as sole owner of the respected landscape architecture firm CLINTON+RIES Landscape Architects. The firm has won numerous awards and has been published in countless books, magazines, and newspapers.
What makes her business unique? “We look at each project as a blank slate,” Ries explains. Using nature as their tools, she and her team tell a story through their designs. Each project is a blend of artistry and practical components balanced with the site ecology. Colorful plantings, sculpture, and unique elements connect with the emotions of those experiencing the spaces.
CLINTON+RIES Landscape Architects is grounded in creating relationships with their clients. Their work goes on even after the last shovel goes in the ground. Besides site design, they provide maintenance reviews and garden consultation, as well as seasonal work that enhances the project sites and keeps them looking their best.
“Our firm is licensed contractors, which gives us the ability to build our designs,” Ries says. “We are able to keep the design in the designers’ hands through the entire process.”
This business is so important for Ries and the team to create meaningful spaces for clients, their families, and friends to enjoy for many years.

If real estate agents charge about the same fee, then why wouldn’t you hire the absolute best to represent you? Similar fees with different client outcomes doesn’t seem fair. The market has shifted, and the stakes have been raised, which makes it paramount to hire the professional you deserve—the very best in their field. David Orso is celebrating his 20th year in real estate, which has led to a curated system for maximum client outcomes for both sellers and buyers. Since 2013, David Orso has been the No. 1 agent in Anne Arundel County for total real estate sales. This unprecedented accomplishment is wholly due to his CEO-level marketing and negotiation skills combined with his deep commitment to superior client outcomes.
When asked his secret to year-over-year elite performance, he stated, “When my clients win, I win. Always in that order.”
This new market requires more than glamour shots and a couple of good years during the real estate boom. Now is the time to evaluate your potential real estate representation closely and dig deep into their experience in challenging markets.
You deserve the best...so hire the best.

James King, Founder and CEO of Titan Hospitality Group, which owns and operates The Blackwall Hitch (Annapolis, MD & Alexandria, VA), The Blackwall Barn & Lodge (Gambrills, MD), and Smashing Grapes Kitchen & Wine Bar (Annapolis, MD & Gambrills, MD) has emerged as a true Titan of the restaurant industry.
The former State Delegate, who is still frequently spotted in the halls of the State House advising current elected officials on small business matters, has fostered powerful relationships with key decision-makers on both sides of the aisle. As President of the Maryland Restaurant Coalition, King led the successful fight to keep restaurants open during the pandemic, keeping thousands of county residents employed.
Beginning with his work ethic and his unwavering dedication to establishing a culture in which his employees are considered family, his facilities are tended to as castles and his guests are treated like royalty, King has reinvented the team mentality.
King and Titan Hospitality are making long-term investments in the communities that surround his establishments and in the 400 employees that he was able to retain throughout the pandemic, a feat he is most proud of. “Our employees are equally as important as our guests; without them we have no business model. Our customers can feel that mentality when they dine with us and are extremely appreciative of that mindset,” King said.
King’s restaurant empire continues to expand with the construction of two new restaurants in Howard County’s Merriweather Entertainment District. In September, he will open a 12,000-square-foot Blackwall Barn & Lodge, followed by an 8,000-square-foot Smashing Grapes Kitchen & Wine Bar in January in the same development. King is also in lease negotiations for three additional restaurants that will be announced in the fall of 2023.
Navigating Titan Hospitality through a pandemic, economic challenges, supply chain hurdles, staffing shortages, and inflationary obstacles, King continues to grow his regional footprint and his reputation as a Titan of the Hospitality Industry!

Prior to relocating to Maryland and launching Maddox Audio Video Design, Nick Kfoury had already amassed a significant amount of experience, allowing him to hone his technical expertise. Working in home automation, theaters, and home security in the Hamptons on Long Island during the course of his career gave him the opportunity to collaborate with a large number of celebrities and other high-profile clients. Additionally, he had served in the military for a period of time, during which he was educated in such vital values as honesty, dedication, advocacy, respect, and superiority. As a result of these one-of-a-kind experiences, he gained an understanding of the most effective methods to apply technology, and he went on to start his own successful company here in the Mid-Atlantic region. He focuses on providing SMART home technology, entertainment, and networking in addition to AI technology.
What truly distinguishes the Maddox team is how they adapt technology to each client’s lifestyle, taking into account the home’s
design and aesthetic features. Nick explains that the majority of his clients desire concealed home automation and audio/ visual components of superior quality. “We accomplish this with SMART home features that complement or disappear into the home’s architecture, such as concealed speakers, retractable screens, automated blinds, artwork-displaying televisions and custom solutions that take shape for the first time.”
And the highlight? Every aspect of SMART home automation is accessible via a single tablet or smartphone.
“Tile is fashion for your home,” says John Childs, Owner and Founder of Atlas Marble & Tile. John and the team at Atlas approach each customer with the knowledge that their home is probably their most valuable asset. Whether working directly with the homeowner or with their contractor, it is rewarding to help make a home a haven.
Atlas Marble & Tile just celebrated its 30th birthday, from the same office where the business began. They have expanded from one suite to seven but the commitment to customer service remains the same. John attributes much of Atlas’ success to never compromising on customer service.
Atlas still has real people answering the phones, walking the showroom, and helping customers. That level of service has gone out of style in many businesses but not at Atlas.
Besides marble and tile, John’s biggest love is his family, including his wife of over 30 years, Jennifer, and his band Red Betty and The Ruckus—where he plays guitar.
Styles have changed over the last 30 years and the showroom has grown tremendously, but you will still recognize the same oldfashioned commitment to customer service and a job well done.
Atlas has been a family owned and operated business, fabricating and installing the finest natural and man-made stone projects for almost 25 years. Now led by Frank Damico Jr, Rick Nelson and Sheri Damico. The trio have led the business to new heights, investing heavily in keeping up with the latest technology in the shop, as well as recruiting experienced design consultants, templators, craftsmen and installers. The knowledgeable team follows a thorough, handson process with the customer to ensure the result is exactly what they expect, with no surprises.
Today, Atlas Stone’s boutique showroom in Odenton features stone slabs of every style imaginable. Longstanding relationships with suppliers in Brazil, Italy, India and elsewhere mean Atlas has a constantly evolving inventory of the highest quality classics and the latest trends, including porcelain and quartz. Although they pride themselves on custom jobs, they provide the same quality, service and competitive pricing for all sized projects from a vanity top to an entire house.
Atlas team members work hand-in-hand with clients to select the product that works best for them—from kitchen countertops, to intricate fireplace surrounds, shower walls, showstopping backlit accent walls, commercial applications and more. The proprietary Atlas design process has pushed the company to be the leader in stone fabrication throughout the region, combining personal service with the latest technological advancements. Each project is designed in 3-D with the client, prior to fabrication to ensure smooth installations and scores of happy, repeat customers.
An award-winning insurance agent and owner of McGovern Insurance Services, Cassie McGovern defines what it means to be a successful agent. More than just a sales producer, she is an agency owner who succeeds because of the passion for what she does and her commitment to professionalism. For her, being an insurance agent is more than a job.
“When I attended my first grueling week-long insurance class almost 25 years ago, I thought insurance would be quite boring,” she says. “But when I took over my first agency in 2008 in Arnold, I found that helping people and educating clients is the reason I have stayed in insurance. I get to help people protect what is most important in their lives. It is incredibly rewarding, and I take my customer’s confidence in me very seriously.”
Little did she know she would manage three agencies in the surrounding area, which have now combined into a single agency location in Severna Park.
“I have some awesome long-term clients that have trusted me with their entire family, and that says a lot about what they think about me as an agent,” she says.
McGovern uses many strategies to streamline office processes and continually adapts to keep up with the ever-changing market and create the best overall experience for customers. She is also busy expanding her partner network to help ensure a client’s best interests and needs are being met—partnerships help us help our mutual clients!

When Richard Curtis got into real estate 25 years ago, he realized the only way to offer the fast, flexible service he wanted was to start his own brokerage. That is how Annapolis’s premier boutique real estate firm, The Curtis Real Estate Company, began. Today, with offices in historic Annapolis, South County/North Beach, and the Eastern Shore, Richard and his team offer concierge service throughout the Chesapeake.
What exactly does concierge real estate mean? Clients can depend on fast response times and a less expensive transaction. Agents set their commissions on a deal-by-deal basis.
Lower commissions don’t mean less service. On the contrary, The Curtis Real Estate Company offers staging, professional photography, drone photography, and high-quality videos for each listing.
Deep local connections mean agents can loop in mortgage lenders, home inspectors, and settlement agents to facilitate smooth closings. If properties need work before listing, because of findings in inspections, or for post-purchase renovations, an army of highly skilled contractors are ready to go. “We offer flexible, full-service
concierge experience that makes our clients’ wants and needs our only priority,” Richard says. “Excellence, integrity, and hard work are our guiding principles.”
If you are looking for a truly personal real estate experience in Anne Arundel County or the Eastern Shore, call the Curtis Real Estate Company and get the transaction that works best for you, not a national brokerage.
CONCIERGE REAL ESTATE MEANS:
• Negotiable Commissions
• Fast, Responsive Service
• Staging, Professional and Drone Photography/Videos

You may have heard Maryland referred to as “America in miniature.” That’s because our state has a little bit of everything you would find across the country—mountains, oceans, forests, lakes, rivers, and much more. And what better way to explore all the state has to offer than by visiting some of her incredible parks?
If you’re looking for a reason to take an adventurous excursion this summer, here it is. As you check out these Ten Top Parks, you’ll undoubtedly have a greater appreciation of what makes Maryland special.
If you’re like most Marylanders, you probably associate Assateague State Park with one thing—horses. That’s because this scenic oceanfront park is home to a herd of wild horses that can often be spotted roaming the beaches and traversing the dunes. In addition to spotting these beautiful animals in their element, you can hike along the trails and around the marshes, sunbathe, or surf along the two miles of beach. Bring your camping gear, too, as Assateague State Park has more than 300 campsites and cabins where you can stay while you enjoy all the island has to offer.
The hallmark of Calvert Cliffs State Park is its unique natural features: most prominently, the massive cliffs, which date back millions of years. As you take the time to explore the hiking trails and sandy beaches of this 1,000-acre park, you’ll likely find plenty of prehistoric fossils. (Perhaps you heard the story about the girl who found a five-inch megalodon tooth in the water beside Calvert Cliffs; it made national news in December 2022.) Even if you’re not fossil hunting, you’ll be impressed by the view of the bay. Or you can simply relax in the shade of the pavilion, which makes a great spot for picnicking.
Located adjacent to each other and spanning hundreds of acres, Catoctin Mountain Park and Cunningham Falls State Park offer the chance to explore miles of strenuous hiking trails where you can enjoy the view of breathtaking vistas and cascading waterfalls. Be sure to visit Cunningham Falls, the largest waterfall in Maryland, and the scenic overlook at Chimney Rock. The lake in the middle of Cunningham Falls State Park offers a sandy beach for relaxing and sunbathing, as well as the chance to swim, fish, and canoe.
This waterfront park along the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Baltimore County covers 40 acres of beautiful outdoors. Take advantage of the hiking and biking trails, or let the kids spend their energy on the playgrounds and basketball courts. If you’re a water person, you’ll love the park’s beach area and fishing pier, where you can go for a swim or launch your boat into the bay.
Here’s a park for history enthusiasts. Gathland State Park in Western Maryland covers 500 acres and is known for its Civil War history. Be sure to visit the museum featuring Civil War artifacts and exhibits and stop to see the War Correspondents Memorial Arch, built to honor the journalists who covered the war. But even if you do go for the history, be sure to stay for the outdoors—the park has trails with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, where you can enjoy hiking, picnicking, and camping.
What makes Hart-Miller State Park so interesting is its seclusion. It’s located on a manmade island in the Chesapeake Bay, created when shipping channels were dredged. You’ll need a private boat to reach the island, but once you get there, you can enjoy swimming, fishing, picnicking, and birdwatching. The sandy beaches and hiking trails offer panoramic views of the bay and the surrounding wetlands. While you’re there, be sure to explore the island’s historic lighthouse, which dates back to the mid-19th century.
Take your adventurous spirit to Patapsco Valley State Park, where you’ll find more than 200 miles of trails—ranging from easy to strenuous— weaving throughout the 16,000 acres of hilly, forested park along the Patapsco River. On hot days, you can cool off by taking a dip in the water, which you’ll find especially refreshing at the foot of the impressive Cascade Falls. While you’re exploring, be sure to check out some of the historic sites, including the 19th-century stone arch bridge known as the Thomas Viaduct.
Encompassing more than 1,000 acres along the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Sandy Point State Park has a little bit of everything: a stretch of sandy beach, hiking trails through the woods, grassy areas for frisbee and ball throwing, playgrounds for the kids, and even picnic areas. It’s a great destination for all kinds of outdoor fun, whether you’re interested in swimming, hiking, or just relaxing and taking in the sight of the bay.
Swallow Falls State Park is renowned for its waterfalls, particularly Muddy Creek Falls. As you hike your way along the extensive trails that thread through the 250 acres of the park’s mountainous terrain, you’ll discover old-growth forests, rocky gorges, and crystal-clear streams. The park’s recreational area and campground are especially breathtaking in autumn when the fall foliage changes colors.
Located on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay, this beautiful nature preserve encompasses about 270 acres, with a network of trails through the woodlands and boardwalks over the marshy wetlands. With more than 200 recorded species of birds in the area, Terrapin Nature Park offers great opportunities for birdwatching. While you’re there, you can also stop by the fishing pier that extends into the bay, whether you want to cast a line or just take in the view.
