Geography / Habitat: Can be found throughout the Pacific, tropical waters, occasionally entering temperate waters. Highly migratory species at depths of 0-200 meters. Oceanic, usually found in surface waters above the thermocline, often near shore close to land masses, islands and coral reefs. Life Strategy: Black Marlin breed in winter months in the Indian to Pacific Ocean. They migrate to certain locations each year to spawn in large groups. Food / Feed Strategy: Eat smaller fish that live in the same habitat.
