Learning & Development Career Builder: Want to learn where your career at RHG can take you? This program is for you. Designed to build role progression streams by department and by function, Career Builder gives team members an opportunity to explore various avenues to advance their careers at RHG – by growing in their current role or setting their sights on future roles. Jobservation (Job-Shadowing Program): Ever wonder what it is like to “walk in a colleagues’ shoes” for a day? Or perhaps you want to see if another role is for you. A Jobservation experience can help you better understand other divisions and roles within RHG and add to your existing skills. HR Downloads (Online Tutorials): Is there a skill you would like to brush up on or a topic you want to learn more about, but you don’t have a lot of time to invest? Consider taking one of a wide-range of online tutorials (30 minute average time commitment) on topics such as leadership, communications and time management. Continuing Education Opportunity: Take a course or work towards a certificate/degree while continuing with your full-time career. Each year, RHG will pay for you to take job-related courses, providing 100% coverage of your tuition to a maximum of $1,000 per year. This can be used towards resources such as a yearly subscription to LinkedIn Learning or other accredited in-person or online courses. The Continuing Education Opportunity has helped me to grow personally and professionally by supporting my aspiration to continue to learn and expand my knowledge within my field. I’m excited that I’ll be able to expand my skillset while working alongside an amazing team at RHG. – Leah Simpson, Reid’s Heritage Homes, Design Consultant

Internal Training Sessions: Each year the People and Culture department hosts several meetings for team members. These include team orientation day(s) and training & information sessions (i.e. Managerial Training and People and Culture sessions). All team members attend 2 to 3 training sessions each year. The mandatory sessions generally feature: • Updates on People and Culture programs/initiatives. • Discussion on how to live our core values and leadership drivers. • Practical advice and tools for leading and developing as an effective manager/leader (managerial sessions only). • Training around our Four Pillars of Sustainable Leadership: Character, Competence, Curiosity and Caring. Recognition and Development Conversations: Taking place each December/January these conversations are an important part of our recognition and development program, which includes positive and corrective real-time feedback on an ongoing basis. Attached to these conversations is a “pay for performance” component where eligible team members are provided with a bonus and RRSP contribution based on their performance. Any bonus or RRSP contribution is at the absolute discretion of the company, based on annual profitability.
