What is infinity?

To me, infinity is not an complex mathematical formula, impossible to understand, or an ontological philosophical concept for scholars and thinkers to debate, infinity to the artist is we, the Human Species. We are the only being capable of understanding the concept of endless or limitless life and space. After all, have you met a monkey or an elephant or bird or dog or dolphin (all highly intelligent beings) that can express such a concept as infinity?
