“Enrichment opportunities are fantastic” Ofsted November 2010

Enrichment Students can significantly improve their work and personal development by taking part in our wide range of enrichment and extra-curricular activities. These include summer school, and clubs and competitions associated with maths, science and technology, international citizenship, sport, music and the arts. The standards our students achieve and their success in competitions against other schools brings us great pleasure. We encourage our students to not only experience these developmental activities but also to play an important role in developing their school and the local community through the School Council. These activities help them develop as young adults and support academic achievement. We also offer students opportunities to take part in educational visits home and abroad. Many of these exchanges and visits have become regular features including Ski trips, Art trips, History trips, MFL trips, Sports trips as well as exchanges with schools in Sweden, America, Singapore, China, France and others!

ENRICHMENT

International Charity Work We are currently supporting the Stand By Me Charity in Burma with the aim of raising £15,000 to help build a new school in Tamu, an area where there is much persecution and poverty. We are well on the way to raising this and students are busy planning future events to fundraise.

Stand by Me was granted permission to open the school and over the last three years they have been slowly erecting the school foundations. With our help they can finish the building and provide free, high quality tuition to 250 children from the Sofia Children’s Home and the surrounding community.

“Students’ excellent spiritual, moral, social and cultural development gives them an acute sense of the way their behaviour can affect others and they are quick to take responsibility for supporting the school, community events and each other” Ofsted November 2010
