ABOUT ME Creating the decorum for any occasion or condition is something I am keen about as I feel the surrounding where we live has a great impact on us and its’ functions. Pursuing interior designing contemplates my dream of designing and creating such impression of spaces. The experiment of assembling all the interior elements for creating the perfect ensemble and how it all blends accordingly is the most promising feeling I get while doing my studio assignments. FURNITURE RETAIL SHOWROOM (FURNIGLOO)

RETAIL SPACE: 17m x 47m

SITE

:

DECATHLON, AHMEDABAD WE WERE ASSIGNED TO CONVERT THIS SPACE INTO A FURNITURE SHOWROOM. IT WAS AN EMPTY SITE WITH NO INTERNAL WALLS.THE COLUMNS, EXTERNAL WALL, BEAMS AND CEILING WERE SUPPOSED TO BE REMAINED UNTOUCHED.

CONCEPT:

CONVERSION OF THE SPACE INTO A PREMIUM STYLE FURNITURE SHOWROOM WITH THE CONCEPT OF "WALKING ON WATER". AS IT IS A HUGE SPACE WITH A VOLUME OF 7 METERS, ISLAND FORMS OF EACH FURNITURE ELEMENT HAVE BEEN FORMED TO BREAK THE VOLUME. GLASS FLOORING HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED TO ADD AN EXCLUSIVE FLAVOUR TO THE COMPOSITION.

CORPORATE OFFICE S.P.I.P.A.

SARDAR PATEL INSTI. OF ADMINISTRATION, AHMEDABAD IT'S A BUILDING WITH SIX FLOORS, WHERE THE GROUND FLOOR OFFICE AREA HAS BEEN DESIGNED. THE RESTRICTION WAS TO NOT CHANGE THE BEAMS AND COLUMNS AND DISRUPT THE GREENERY OITSIDE.

CONCEPT:

THE APPROACH TOWARDS DESIGNING THE SPACE IS TO COMPLIMENT AND ENHANCE THE RIGIDITY WITH AESTHETIC APPEAL AND MAKE THE SPACE AS FUNCTIONAL AS POSSIBLE

FOUNDATION STUDIOS OF UNITEDWORLD INST. OF DESIGN DESIGNING THE SPACE FROM THE SCRATCH. SO THE FORM HAPPENS TO BE THE KEY ELEMENT OF THE SPACE.

CONCEPT:

BEING INSPIRED FROM THE BUBBLES EMERGING IN WATER, THE DESIGN SPACES ARE TYPICALLY CIRCULAR SURROUNDED BY WATERBODY.

HYPOTHETICAL PROJECT WITH A GIVEN AREA OF 3mx3mx3m IN A SHOPPING MALL. IT WAS TO DESIGN A KIOSK FOR THE PROJECT OF OUR CHOICE.

CONCEPT:

THE MAIN INSPIRATION FOR THIS PROJECT IS A GREEN HOUSE WHICH IS EQUIVALENT TO THE PRODUCT ON SALE . ITS A GLASS FORM THROUGH WHICH THE OUTSIDE LIGHT CAN COME IN AS WELL AS COMPLIMENTS THE GREENHOUSE STRUCTURE.

RELATIVE STUDY PROGRAMME HAMPI

CHANDRAMAULISWARA TEMPLE HAMPI IS A CITY LOCATED IN THE SOUTH OF INDIA, PART OF THE VIJAYNAGARA EMPIRE. AS A PART OF OUR RSP TRIP, WE ANALYSED AND MEASURED THE CHANDRAMAULESHAWARA TEMPLE (THE LORD WHO WEARS THE MOON ON THE CROWNED HAIR) WHICH WAS A TYPICAL EXAMPLE OF THE VIJAYNAGARA STYLE OF ARCHITECTURE- BUILT OF STONES, ACCENTUATED BY ORNAMENTAL PILLARS, ARCHES, STUCCOS AND CARVINGS

IIM TUNNEL

IIID DESIGN YATRA (2016)

SITE:

IIM TUNNEL FROM OLD IIM TO NEW IIM. AHMEDABAD IIID DESIGN YATRA (DESIGN AN INSERTION FOR THE TUNNEL)

CONCEPT:

MIRROR PIECES AT DIFFERENT ANGLES IN THE SOCKETS

LIGHTS, SHADOWS AND REFLECTIONS. THE IDEA IS TO ILLUMINATE THE TUNNEL WITHOUT JUXTAPOSING ITS ORIGINAL VIGOUR. LIGHTS AND MIRROR INSTALLATION WILL COMPLIMENT AND BLEND WITH THE CONCRETE FINISH OF THE TUNNEL.

THE FRONT WALL WHILE OPERATING THE STAIRS WILL HAVE MIRROR COLLAGE IN CONCAVE SHAPE
