6th Form, but not as you know it - Helen Mathieson, Principal

We’re not your usual 6th form and this isn’t your usual 6th Form prospectus... Of course we offer a wide selection of traditional A’levels, for those who have a clear academic pathway in mind, but this is a place of innovation and development, embracing sustainable achievement coupled with work placements, apprenticeships and higher education. In short, we’re offering more. Within these prospectus pages you can see that there’s plenty on offer. Our lead sponsors, Plymouth University, and co-sponsor, Cornwall College, are leaders in their own sectors, and they’ve come together to offer Marine Academy Plymouth students something unique. If you’r401>DCC>P=8B7 H>DA*B 0=385H>DOE4 ?82:43 D? C78B ;40Q4C H>DOre serious about planning for your future. We recognise the increasingly competitive nature of university admissions and so our post 16 curriculum builds in guided mentoring sessions to enable students to make the most of their achievements in their applications. Many students choose to study in Plymouth and MAP students are in the advantaged position of not only being familiar with the university as part of their working life at MAP but also of being able to apply for bursaries given by the university for our students.
