New Urbanism

New Urbanism Workshop – University of Miami Imparted by Jaime Correa

Redesigned a neighborhood located in Charleston, South Carolina applying the “New Urbanism” principles: Promoting walkable narrow streets shaded by trees, a variety of dwelling types and schools and playgrounds within walking distances. The parking lots, which are accessed by alleys, are rarely in front of the houses. Also, shops and offices are located at the edge of the neighborhoods.
