CENTER FOR TEACHING ADVANCEMENT AND ASSESSMENT RESEARCH (CTA AR) The Center for Teaching Advancement and Assessment Research (C TA AR) suppor ts teaching and learning at Rutgers through workshops and ser vices in many areas: pedagogy and faculty development, assessment programs, instructional technologies, classroom technologies, and faculty and staff information technologies. CTAAR manages the Student Instructional Ratings Survey (SIRS) and supports the development and implementation of assessment plans for the university’s schools and departments. CTAAR also provides handson computer instruction tailored to the unique needs of the university community.

MAKERSPACE Part of a growing movement in higher education and the entrepreneurial community, Rutgers Makerspace provides manufacturing equipment and training to help individuals develop, prototype, and market new products. Located on Livingston Campus, Rutgers Makerspace democratizes specialized fabrication and prototyping by providing faculty, staff, and students with free access to tools, machines, and support. DoCS also created the first statewide makerspace association in the nation to attract funding to this growing entrepreneurial movement, to help K-16 schools establish spaces, and to build an active network of

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AT CONTINUING STUDIES (ITaCS) Information Technology at Continuing Studies is a full-range technology solutions provider that ensures technical needs are met with an unwavering commitment to customer service. The ITaCS team provides desktop support, server and infrastructure support, web and application development, project management, and database development. ITaCS supports several Rutgers continuing education units while also collaborating on shared services through partnerships with university schools and departments.
