Business Units CENTER FOR ONLINE AND HYBRID LEARNING AND INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGIES (COHLIT) The Center for Online and Hybrid Learning and Instructional Technologies was founded in July 2011 to support the rapidly expanding areas of fully online and hybrid learning at Rutgers. The center provides instructional design support and guidance, and serves faculty and students on all major learning management systems used at Rutgers. COHLIT supports Rutgers academic units university-wide in creating and delivering fully online courses, as well as hybrid courses that combine face-to-face and online instruction, and supports both credit and non-credit students and instructors. The Center is responsible for the “Managed Program” — a strategic, all-inclusive partnership between Rutgers and Pearson Online Learning Services for the largescale delivery of fully online degree programs. Additionally, COHLIT supports a broad range of external clients in the production of professional training and certificate programs. COHLIT also maintains a growing number of educational partnerships between various national organizations and the Division of Continuing Studies. COHLIT areas of service include faculty training, instructional technology, Help Desk, IT services, Office of Instructional Design (OID), Game Research and Immersive Design (GRID), and state authorization services. onlinelearning.rutgers.edu/
