FROM THE OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT 85 Somerset Street, Room 300 | New Brunswick, NJ 08901-1281 The Division of Continuing Studies (DoCS) is a diverse, dedicated unit of 140 staff members who serve Rutgers faculty, students, and staff by opening and widening educational opportunities to learners of all ages. DoCS staff operate in 20 locations around New Jersey to serve students in credit and non-credit programs delivered on campus, off campus, and online. DoCS programs and support services help generate more than $180 million in revenue for the university. DoCS provides and promotes innovative tools and research-driven instructional support to help Rutgers better serve students of all ages and learning styles. DoCS operates the university’s only on-campus hotel and conference center, its award-winning fully digital broadcast television studio, and the university’s Higher Education Centers that open Rutgers degrees to students at five community colleges across New Jersey. DoCS proudly leads the university in supporting the rapidly growing population of non-traditional students, ranging from preschoolers discovering their first love of reading to retirees who never lost their love of learning. DoCS provides those services through 20 allied business units.
