a Ruta del Arte se inició hace once años como iniciativa de una libre asociación de artistas. Su propósito es dar a conocer unos cuantos de la extraordinaria multitud de creadores –muchas veces desconocidos– y presentarles al público en toda su diversidad. En el proyecto sin jurado, compuesto por colegas sin prejuicios, se mezclan artistas renombrados internacionalmente con estudiantes avanzados y aficionados empedernidos. La selección se basa esencialmente en la iniciativa de los participantes sin representar la totalidad. Además resulta que la participación varía de un año a otro, así que se incorporan nuevos talentos cada vez. La Ruta del Arte sale a fin de invitar a un público interesado en las artes –tanto a los expertos y coleccionistas como a los aficionados– a explorar la isla por caminos diferentes a los habituales y visitar a los artistas de los que quieran conocer su obra y el lugar en que trabajan. Así que póngase en marcha y empiece la verdadera ruta del arte descubriendo algunos de los artistas siguientes. Bajo la condición de pedir cita previa, la visita será bienvenida durante la temporada entera. El plano del camino de acceso, en algunos casos, facilita encontrar los estudios esparcidos por la isla. Pueden participar artistas visuales que tienen estudio en Ibiza o Formentera y que estén dispuestos a recibir visitantes.

he Art Route was started eleven years ago as an initiative of a few artists who informally founded an association. It’s purpose is to highlight some of the multitude of creative minds on the islands, often thriving in the shadows, and present them to a wider public, in all their diversity. Compiled by colleagues, without a jury, the project admits internationally renowned artists as well as committed newcomers and keen amateurs. The selection is based essentially on the initiative of the participants and does not claim to be complete. Moreover, participation fluctuates from one year to the next, and thus new talents are continually being incorporated. Ruta del Arte invites a public interested in the arts – experts, collectors and art lovers alike– to explore Ibiza off the beaten track, and meet the artists they choose at their place of work. So take the opportunity and start out along the real RUTA DEL ARTE by visiting some of the following artists and their work while touring the island. Visitors are welcome all year round. The only condition is to phone in advance and fix a date for the visit. Sketch maps will help to find some of the studios scattered all over the island. For visual artists with a studio in Ibiza or Formentera willing to welcome visitors applications are invited.
