Personal Training

(Prices subject to change)

There is no better way to get in shape than to work with your own personal fitness trainer. At Rush Copley Healthplex, our degreed and certified personal trainers will work closely with you to customize an exercise program to maximize your efforts in reaching your own specific fitness goals. Our personal trainers use one-on-one attention and guidance that will add motivation you may not otherwise have working out on your own.

Specialties include: strength training, flexibility training, assisted stretching, core conditioning and weight management. We offer training for other health specific needs such as post rehabilitation, post-cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation, Parkinson’s disease and chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension and fibromyalgia.

How to Get Started

Choose your personal trainer, or ask us to help select one for you based on your goals and their areas of expertise. After you purchase your training package, we will contact you to schedule your first meeting. Single sessions or packages are available.

If you wish to work with a trainer weekly, we offer a subscription option. Once weekly includes four total sessions per month, or twice weekly includes eight total sessions per month. A new session package will automatically renew and be billed with each 30-day cycle and any unused sessions will expire. For more information, or to set up a subscription, please email heather_r_johnson@rush.edu.

All personal training packages expire 6 months from date of purchase (excluding subscriptions).

Small Group Personal Training

Expert coaching. Team energy. Real results. Experience the best of both worlds: the technical precision of a personal trainer combined with the energy and motivation of a small team. Our Small Group Personal Training is designed for members who want more than just a workout — they want a structured, results-driven program in a supportive setting.

Power in Numbers

Whether you’re looking to break through a plateau or master your lifting form, doing it with a dedicated crew changes the game.

• Built-in Accountability: There is a unique psychological edge to training with a team. You’ll show up for them, and they’ll push you to find that extra boost you can’t find training solo.

• Customized for Your Crew: Gather 2–4 friends and create your own private training time. We’ll match you with a coach who specializes in your group’s specific goals, from strength building to athletic agility.

• Flexible Scheduling: We work with you to find a recurring 60-minute window that fits your group’s busy lifestyle, based on trainer availability.

What to Expect

Eyes-On Coaching: Your trainer provides personalized form cues for every rep to ensure you are lifting safely and effectively.

Tracked Progress: We monitor your weights and reps over the 4-week cycle so you can see your strength increasing.

Tailored Scaling: Even in a group, your trainer will adjust movements to match your specific fitness level and goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to find my own group?

To ensure the best experience and consistent scheduling, we ask that you form your own “squad” of 3 or more participants before booking.

What happens if someone in our group misses a session?

Because your trainer is reserved specifically for your group's time slot, we cannot offer individual make-up sessions.

Can we have different fitness levels in one group?

Absolutely. Our professional coaches are experts at scaling movements. One person can use a barbell while another uses a kettlebell; you’ll all be challenged at your own level while training together.

How do we get started?

Once your group is ready, email our Fitness Director at heather_r_johnson@rush.edu. We’ll match your squad with the perfect trainer to lead your 4-week journey.

Fee: $149 per 4-Week Cycle

(One 60-minute session per week)

Scheduling: Sessions are scheduled based on trainer availability. Whether you prefer a morning or evening, we’ll help you find the perfect match.
