factory girl What do Jane Birkin, Pattie Boyd, Catherine Deneuve and Jacqueline Bisset all have in common (other than being fabulous)? They were all part of The Rolling Stones’ infamous social scene during the 60s. Eric Swayne was fortunate enough to document special moments before the British band hit the big time (when Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were hanging around with a troupe of revolutionary artists, musicians and photographers), all of which are on display at Proud Chelsea. From Jagger and Richards fooling around in Eric’s flat to David Bailey and Catherine Deneuve “canoodling as newlyweds”, Swayne’s images foretold how The Rolling Stones would come to define a generation.
