What’s In The Box? Friday 27 July and Friday 31 August 11.00am to 12.00 noon Come along to our social history gallery and look at some of the weird and wonderful objects we have in the collection. In this rare opportunity you can handle some collection objects and find out more about them!!

Friday 3 August - 10.30am to 11.30am Friday 24 August -10.30am to 11.30am Join Tom the Tale Teller as he tells traditional stories from around the world with his story stick and a few surprises along the way. These wondrous tales will enthral young and old alike. Suitable for 4 - 94 year olds. Drop in activity. All ages, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Every Thursday -10.30am to 12.30pm Hedgehog Heroes

26th July Where do hedgehogs live and sleep? What do they eat? Discover the wonderful world of hedgehogs in the company of Rugby’s very own Hedgehog Officer before creating your own hedgehog from a pine cone at our crafty workshop.

Junk Model Houses

2nd August Get creative and raid our junk modelling boxes. You could make a futurist sky scraper or a fairy cottage…

Awesome Aeroplanes and Terrific Trains 9th August Exploring the theme of journeys in our exhibition come along and make a model to take home.

16th August Make a photo frame for your favourite holiday snap or family photo.

Bird Mobile

23rd August Using a variety of materials hang your mobile above your bed at night and dream of far off lands.

Creative Collage

30th August Use maps and images to create your own collage. Bring along some family photos or clippings from your favourite magazines.

No booking required. All ages, children must be accompanied by an adult.


Pottery Day Friday 17 August - 10.00am to 4.00pm Suitable for 8 to 14 years.

Free Event Day By the Seaside Picnic Wednesday 15 August 1.00pm to 4.00pm Suitable for all ages. We are going back to the past to explore the swimwear, photos, and seaside memorabilia during this fun event. Join us for crafts, seaside music, games, objects from our collection, dancing and dressing up.
