CWGA President Message from the CWGA President 5th Year Annual Tournament Hafa Adai Members, It is with delight to greet and say “Thank You” to each fellow member for you continued support and forever commitment to our association. This year definitely is a milestone. It marks 5th year CNMI Women Golf Association (CWGA) establishment and it will be memorialized by an annual tournament. Another successful competitive year culminates with a two day tournament of competitive golfing. Play Hard Ladies. I want to salute ours sponsors, donors, and contributors. Your generous support plays a significant role in the success of the overall tournament. We could not do this without you. Un Dankulo Na Si Yu’us Ma’ase to everyone involved. CNMI Women’s Golf Association Fifth Annual Golf Tournament Rules 1. USGA Rules Apply except as modified by local course rule or governing committee.

2. Play the ball as it lies – All players shall play the ball as it lies.

3. Landscape areas – A ball, which comes to rest in a landscaped area, shall be played as it lies. If a player determines the ball is in an unplayable lie, she may, under penalty of one stroke, drop the ball with two club length of the closest point of relief to the landscaped area, but not closest to the pin.

4. Immovable / manmade obstruction – Cart paths, utility boxes, drains, and yardage markers are to be played as immovable obstructions. The player shall drop the ball within one club length of the closest point of relief from the obstruction, no penalty.

5. Scoring – Players shall exchange scorecard. The actual number of strokes taken will be mark on the scorecard. Scorecards must be signed by both the player and her playing partner. Incorrectly marked or unsigned scorecards will be disqualified.

6. Pairing Format – First day pairing format will be by point system category. Second day pairing format will be by gross score from day one.
