TOWARDS THE CATHEDRAL If you walk past the Palais Loeffler, towards the cathedral, you'll first pass the Palace of the Chamber of Commerce and then the row of two residential and commercial buildings constructed in 1961. The Chamber of Commerce in 1850 established by the decree of the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I. and had its first seat in the Lloyd's Palace. In 1933, the institution then moved into its own building. The authorities banned the Chamber of Commerce in 1949, but a year after the Revolution, in1990, it was the first regional Chamber of Commerce, which started operating again.
