At RSA we pay fairly in recognition of your hard work. Your salary is the fixed amount of pay you receive every month and we strive to ensure that each employee’s overall reward package is competitive.

We believe in rewarding high performance. Put simply, the more you put in, the greater we think your reward should be. It’s because of this that the RSA UK Performance Bonus Scheme is based on two factors – one is your individual performance and the other is Company performance. The amount you receive under the bonus scheme will vary from year to year, depending on the performance of the RSA UK business. If your new role requires you to travel more than 10,000 miles each year, you may be eligible to receive a monthly Car Allowance and an interest-free loan to help you purchase a car via a Credit Sale Agreement. And, because you own the car (not RSA), you may be able to claim HMRC Approved Mileage Allowance Payments for business miles you drive. There are of course additional benefits available for more senior employees that are competitive in the market place.

Your pension

WELCOME TO RSA

When you start work, you’ll join our pension plan automatically and RSA will pay in 7.5% of your salary, but you can pay into it too. Why bother? Because saving for your future is important and more expensive if you put it off until later in life. And, if you do, RSA will pay in extra, so not paying in means you miss out on free money, as well as tax relief and National Insurance savings! It’s very simple – you choose to pay in 2.5% of your salary through YOUR BENEFITS and RSA will pay in another 2.5% as well (you can choose to pay in more than 2.5%, but RSA won’t pay more than 10% in total).

In real money, that means for every £1 you pay in (up to the 2.5% maximum), RSA will pay in up to £4! Quick facts about the RSA Stakeholder Pension Plan, provided by Prudential: • It’s a defined contribution scheme, which means we pay in, you can pay in and the money is invested to create a ‘pot’ of money to buy a pension at retirement. • RSA will pay in extra when you pay in too. • You might be able to transfer in other pension savings.
