Christmas Magic ROCHESTER AREA HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS PARADE

The Rochester Area Hometown Christmas Parade, sponsored by Chief Financial Credit Union and Rochester University, has been a part of the Rochester community for nearly 70 years and a holiday favorite for many residents and area visitors. Hosted by the Rochester Regional Chamber Foundation, this parade is one of the largest Christmas parades in Michigan, featuring over 100 entries marching down a one and a half mile route, from Teinken to 3rd Street. The parade is held annually on the first Sunday in December. This year, we celebrate on Sunday, December 6 at 2 pm. One of the best sights is watching all the faces, young and old, light up in surprise and wonder as whimsical floats pass by down the street, along with the joy of spotting friends, students, and community members to cheer for and wave. We hope you take the opportunity to be a part of this parade and make wonderful holiday memories with the ones you love.

SANTA’S WONDERLAND

Santa’s Wonderland, sponsored by Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital, is located in downtown Rochester prior to the parade. This decorated, heated tent serves as a warming area for children and their families. It features photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus prior to the parade, children’s activities, and hot cocoa/coffee.

SANTA’S REINDEER WARM-UP

Santa’s Reindeer Warm-up is the staging area for all parade participants located at Stoney Creek High School between 10 am and 2 pm. Approximately 3,000 children and adults fill the gymnasium and parking lot as they prepare for the parade.

GRAND MARSHAL GALA
