Like colonizing insects, the living carapace will multiply throughout every major city. Wherever they spread, reductions in the number of cars, commuters and parking spaces will also follow. An added consequence of this urban occupation will be increased inner city density and vitality. The average working class worker bee will abandon long hours in traffic and swarm to newly affordable central business districts, freeing up the roads for commerce and the countryside for agriculture. One by one, once abandoned cities will blossom and buzz with sustainable growth.
