Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture. Fashion is a distinctive and often habitual trend in the style in which a person dresses. It is the prevailing styles in behavior and the newest creations of textile designers.[1] The more technical term costume has become so linked to the term "fashion" that the use of the former has been relegated to special senses like fancy dress or masquerade wear, while "fashion" means clothing more generally, including the study of it.

Fashion does not just define all the latest or the most popular or the most famous clothes. In reality this social phenomenon involves more importance. In some way fashion helps us to show who we are and depict our personality in the terms of visual information. In the way we choosing clothes we show our attitude to world and other people. It is also some kind of communication. We put some of our personality at everything, how we behave at different situations, what we eat and which style of clothes we choose at shops. All the parts of it build the main stream of fashion. But in spite of our personality every person at the world have something in common. Even if it’s the smallest thing. All over the world there are a lot of people who have the same tastes, who choose the same food and trousers of the same kind. There are a lot of traits which build the fashion of today.

TREND • A trend is what's hip or popular at a certain point in time. While a trend usually refers to a certain style in fashion or entertainment, there could be a trend toward warmer temperatures (if people are following trends associated with global warming). • A trend simply reflects what seems to be going around at any given time. A trend can be in any area and doesn't only reflect fashion, pop culture and entertainment. There can also be a trend in the stock market to be bullish or bearish, depending on economic indicators, or a political trend reflecting a nation’s current mood. Some trends are fun, some fabulous, some appalling, but however long they last, you can be sure there will always be a new trend coming along to replace the old.

FAD • A fad is something that is very popular but only for a short amount of time. Something that won't last. It could be a new toy, a new style of clothing or a hairstyle. Fad's are always coming out. Fads are temporary periods of unusually high sales driven by consumer enthusiasm and immediate product or brand popularity such as H&M, Garage, Dynamite, Forever 21‌

FORECASTING Trend forecasting is the concept of gathering information and trying to identify a trend or pattern in the information. It is used to determine the next market product especially in fashion. • Trend forecasting is the gathering of information and analyzing it in a bid to come up with a pattern or trend in a project, activity, results. It is an overall process that focuses on other industries such as automobiles, medicine, food and beverages, literature, and home furnishings. Fashion forecasters are responsible for attracting consumers and helping retail businesses and designers sell their brands. • Fashion forecasting is a global career that focuses on upcoming trends. A fashion forecaster predicts the colors, fabrics and styles that will be presented on the runway and in the stores for the upcoming seasons. The concept applies to not one, but all levels of the fashion industry including haute couture, ready-to-wear, mass market, and street wear.

THE DIFFERENCE • The difference between fad and trend are often used interchangeably, although they are different. A fad is usually considered a fleeting behavior. A trend is usually a behavior that evolves into a relatively permanent change. • The difference between fashion and fad is that the former is always present. Fashion is something which stays for a long time. Fad is a type of fashion which only stays for a short period of time.

2014 FASHION COLOR TRENDS MEET INTERIOR COLOR TRENDS These colors are set to be the trend for Women's Bright Colors for Spring 2014. They are Blood Orange, Tangerine, Cherry, Fuchsia, Caution Yellow, Lime, Cobalt and Cerulean.

Fashion Trends can come into play in the interior design realm. Today We will look into Woman's Bright Color trends and see them applied into interior color schemes.

BLOOD ORANGE Blood Orange, is a medium color, not to bright and not to dull. To complement this Blood Orange a color scheme should include some bright lime greens or blues and some dark orange browns

TANGERINE Tangerine, is basically like orange. This is a strong color that draws a lot of attention by it self, it should be blended with some white to offset it and a blue to complement the color scheme.

CHERRY Cherry is a deep to vivid reddish pink that is very much like blood orange in terms for presence, but with a sexier tone to it. The perfect color scheme to use with this color must contain creamy colors and very dark hues.

FUSHSIA Fuchsia is a vivid purplish shade of red named after the flower of the fuchsia plant. This elegant color can be used with both black and white as an accent color. Add a splash of gold to give the interior even more elegance.

CAUTION YELLOW Caution Yellow is very vivid, use it to draw attention and create high contrasts. Goes very well with dark blues and ivory colors, ones that don’t draw as much attention.

LIME Lime is a color three-quarters of the way between yellow and green (closer to yellow than to green), so named because it is a representation of the color of the citrus fruit called limes. This acid color is ideal for eclectic pop environments, kitchens and living rooms. Mixed with dry tones and browns can make it one of the best colors.

COBALT Cobalt Blue is a cool blue color made of the pigments made using cobalt salts of alumina. It is a color with a long history and it is very much seen in traditional ceramics, glass and jewelry. This color should be used along with white and beige.

CERULEAN Finally we have Cerulean. The word is probably derived from the Latin word caeruleus, “dark blue, blue or blue-green. This color can be used with black or white due to its brighter hue. You can also use creamy colors or orange for pops.
