MESSAGE FROM THE COMMODORE I would like to warmly welcome Geelong’s business, social and sporting communities with an open invitation to visit us at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club. Our Club enjoys prime position on Geelong’s waterfront. Enhancing our food and beverage facilities with an incredible view across the marina and Corio Bay. We offer a range of sailing programs designed for all demographics, from Tackers (kids) to early beginners, youth development , club and social racing. In turn, our sponsorship partners benefit from marketing their businesses to a proud membership of likeminded, connected people who share a passion for being out on the water. As such, our club is focused on developing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

Commodore Chris Williams

We have package options, which you will find enclosed or we can tailor a package to suit your needs along with further advertising opportunities. The value of packages far outweigh their investment, with each offering a great way to build your brand, grow your network and establish new business opportunities in a passionate and proactive environment. In addition to regularly hosting elite regattas, such as the Land Rover Viper Worlds in January 17, we are also proud to own and facilitate two wonderful major events which offer additional sponsorship opportunities. The annual Festival of Sails presented by Rex Gorell Land Rover, is held every Australia Day long weekend. Classified as a major Victorian event, it is heavily supported by local and state government. The festival is recognised as the largest keel boat regatta in the southern hemisphere, attracting more than 300 yachts, 3,500 competitors and 120,000 visitors to the Geelong Connected Communities Shoreside festival along the waterfront over the 4 day period. It is an excellent opportunity for our sponsors to associate their brands with a large, vibrant event that connects with people right across the community.

General Manager Phil Clohesy

The Yanmar Wooden Boatshop Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong (held biannually on even years) celebrates the heritage and tradition of wooden sea vessels. The theme of the event embraces passion and craftsmanship, with a shore-based festival and displays complimenting the spirited sailing program. The Festival opens up wonderful opportunities for businesses that target the more mature, devoted demographic. RGYC is strongly committed to its Sailability program held weekly throughout the Summer sailing season. The program is "not for profit", volunteer-based, and through the activity of Sailing enriches the lives of people of all abilities - the elderly, the financially and socially disadvantaged as well as people with physically challenges. Thank you for your time and consideration in partnering with the Royal Geelong Yacht Club. We look forward to discussing ways for your business to reap the rewards of being part of our organisation. We look forward to seeing you soon. Sincerely, Commodore Chris Williams

Commercial Partnerships Manager Steve Hassell
