Bio From the Artist For the past thirteen years I’ve been in business, I’ve seen fads come and go. My career is very fulfilling as I meet new and unique people everyday. My goal is to capture inner emotion by seeking to learn, listen, and see my subject. My job is to portray how unique you are! Corey Rourke Photography is a full service studio. It’s our goal to give our clients the very best product we can provide and make our clients proud of their images. I have the expertise to light almost any situation, which is key to making flattering portrait. As a business owner

I understand that judgments are being made about my business every day. From promotional material to social media, my presentation needs to have a positive and professional appearance. This also crosses over to my business headshot. I have several headshots for different clients from suit and tie to semi-casual. You will see that we offer many options and there are equally as many variables that determine what will work best for you. I would be happy to set up an appointment.

Professional Image Image is key with business and corporate portraits. Your image is a part of your brand and clients will make judgments accordingly. A headshot of you at a backyard BBQ or at a bar offers a much different presentation than a headshot of you with good lighting and great posing. The contrast will be noticed immediately.

Let me use my extensive knowledge in lighting and posing along with my ability to relate to the client to help you capture your best side. Contact us for individual headshots. We also are accepting new accounts for larger firms.

Helpful Hints CLOTHING CHOICES When it comes to clothing choices, I stress your brand and what your client wants to see from you. If your client expects a suit, make sure your image represents that. To reflect a relaxed, fun persona, wear jeans and a business casual top. Stay away from busy patterns and white clothing. Dark colors are always flattering.

SMILING OR SERIOIUS? “Should I smile? Should I be serious?” This all depends again on what your client is looking for. Personally, when looking for services, a friendly face (smiling) is more welcoming. However, if you want a serious, powerful or respected look, maybe you go with a no smile headshot.

SESSIONS At Corey Rourke Photography we offer studio and environmental sessions. Our studio sessions are professional headshots. We’re able to take the appropriate lighting and background to a business office if that is more convenient than coming to our studio. Environmental sessions include everything else: outside locations, window lighting, etc. A dentist, for example, might want to take a headshot in their dental office with equipment in the background.
