“You were my last hope. Thank you!” So many of our clients say things like this to us. Could it be the same for you too? How long have you been looking for someone… something… anything that will just make the pain go away? Weeks, months… years even? Have you tried almost everything and are now wondering if there is any hope? We have met many people who were in exactly the same position when they got in touch with us. My name is Sue Roberts and I operate Advanced Healing Therapies from my clinic in Binley Woods, near Coventry. I am the best walking testimonial for my business. At the age of 32 I had a major road traffic accident and was told I would live my life in a wheelchair. Being the rebellious type, I wasn’t going to accept

this and I needed a solution. So I travelled to Minneapolis in the USA and had 21 treatments in 30 days. Those 30 days changed my life. I came home again, pain free and could finally feel my feet again. So I became a ballroom dancer. What I experienced changed my life. It also made me want to bring the technology back to the UK to help other people with their pain and suffering. I believe in it that much because I know personally what it can do. In 2009 I opened the Advanced Healing Therapy Clinic and since then I have helped so many people from different backgrounds and of all ages, for so many different reasons.

01455 636349 hinckley@martinco.com First impressions, available space! Maximise the space you have on show. No matter how big or small your property is it’s the available space that sells it. You can maximise that feeling of space by showing more of it! Think about buyers being able to see under furniture, leaving space under beds, sofas on legs. And don’t use the space to store things – buyers will see it and think there is not enough space for their own stuff. Store excess furniture, ornaments and general ‘stuff’ out of site. The investment will pay off; buyers will see space and will not notice the odd missing chair or side table. You can make do with what is left whilst you are selling. Don’t use the garage to store excess. Buyers will want to see the garage and won’t be fooled if they find it’s full. Using the loft for storage is what people expect – but make sure that it is well organised, as a buyer wants to see that it is useful space which can be easily accessed. Floors need to be clean and tidy to increase the sense of space. If you have a carpet, get it cleaned. If the flooring is badly scuffed or marked think about changing it. All surfaces, shelves and tops of cupboards to be kept clear. If you can’t make room for items out of sight then think about putting more into storage. No-one will notice if the toaster is missing from the worktop but they will remember there was not a lot of kitchen worktop space. SALES PROPERTY OF THE MONTH – AND ON A CORNER PLOT!

Dear Roundabout Readers, It’s been a real pleasure to be featured in the Roundabout Magazines in recent months, and I hope you’ve enjoyed finding out more about Bamboozle. We’re a local charity and work with learning disabled children and their families and are continually moved by the effect the work can have on families. Sam Fretwell brought her disabled daughter Amelia and her son Harvey to a recent Bamboozle event and said it was “Amazing, fantastic, magical, multi-sensory, musical, accessible and inclusive.” That’s why we do what we do and continue to raise money so that we can do more. This month, I want to write to you directly to tell you about a fundraising challenge that I’m taking on next year which we’ve called the 70seventy challenge. The aim is to raise £70,000 in the run up to my 70th birthday, hence 70seventy. To do this I will be climbing the National Three Peaks [Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon], completing a four-day cycle across the Pyrenees including the iconic Col du Tourmalet - and running a marathon round Leicester Racecourse. None of which I have done before! Madness some say.

would get involved. We also need volunteer drivers for the Pyrenees support team and The Three Peaks weekend. We’re looking for enthusiastic people to sign up! It’s going to be a fantastic year, lots of fun and no pain at all!. You can sign up now by visiting our website: www.bamboozletheatre.co.uk/70seventy. You can join as an individual or as a team for either the three peaks or the marathon. Each challenge has fundraising targets to hit, which is a great way to bring people together in support of a great cause! There are lots of things you can do alongside the challenges to help us reach our ambitious £70,000 target, from festive bake sales or a Christmassy coffee morning or dinner party (and plenty more ideas on our blog!). So if you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Sending you warm season’s greetings, Christopher and the Bamboozle team.

My request to you is this - are you up for joining me for one of the legs of the challenge to help give Amelia more experiences like the one her mother described above. Or do you know a cyclist, hill walker or runner who

Charlotte Graham & Daughters

Our Number One Funeral Directors - New Branch opening in Stoney Stanton A friendly, family run funeral directing service Charlotte Graham & Daughters, is opening a second office to help people gain peace of mind by choosing their end of life arrangements Established more than five years ago, this well respected independent company has gained an excellent reputation for arranging both traditional and natural burial funerals, assisting bereaved families to celebrate the lives of their loved one and incorporating their wishes and preferences into the proceedings. Their website includes many tributes from clients giving thanks for the sensitivity, dignity and reassurance given as customers paid their respects and goodbyes. Now the company is opening an additional office in Stoney

Stanton where people can visit to make plans for their own funerals and arrange prepayment funeral plans so that they know they will be leaving everything as stress-free as possible for their families.

“When someone dies a lot of families don’t know if they wanted cremation or burial, because it was never discussed” says Charlotte. “And that can cause quite a bit of heartache. This service allows people to record what they want to happen and a pre -payment plan lets clients know that when they pass away they will not be leaving a financial burden behind for their family”

Simply funk up your scarf and wear it with pride on Friday 26th January and give a donation to help ensure that all local people have their basic needs met, no matter what crisis, illness, disability or difficulty they may be facing. The day aims to be great fun but it also has a serious message as many of the people Charity Link helps cannot afford to keep warm over winter. The day is perfect for schools, for workplace fundraising or for groups of family and friends to get involved. Cake sales, raffles or fun scarf themed activities all add to the spirit of the day. Get in touch for balloons, leaflets and school and workplace packs. Visit www.charity-link.org/funkyscarfday

We would like everyone taking part to try and raise at least £20.17 which will go directly to Keepthebeat (Registered Charity 1143119) who give hope and support to those affected by congenital heart defects. If you raise £50 or more you will be entitled to claim a Keepthebeat hoodie in the new year. For more information and to take part please visit the website or the Facebook page. Once your entry and payment has been received you will be sent full details about the event via the email address that you provide. If you do not receive your tickets please check your spam folder before getting in touch with a member of the team.

Start practicing your “ho, ho, ho’s”!

Both Tracy and Russ live up to the company name and more. They certainly are Not Just Travel, they are both so much more. We have had an amazing holiday arranged and organised by them which far exceeded our expectations and really was the dream holiday. It's not just the tickets you get but the back up and support is unquestionably the best I have received. The peace of mind they provided really did make it all so special. Thank you both so much and can't wait for next year. Liz Brewer.

"When we needed a tree taking down, due to damage its roots were causing, as an advertiser with us our obvious choice was Martin Page, our local tree surgeon. From when Martin called round to take a look to booking the date ,the service was very efficient. At the designated time the friendly team turned up and were remarkably quick and efficient. Not only did they take all the tree away, they ground the stump down to mulch so no stump was left sticking up. They also cleared all the leaves away too. They exceeded our expectations and did an excellent job. They are clearly skilled at what they do and I can highly recommend them if you are looking for any tree work or removal.
