FAMILY HOUSE

team roubair george - SHAHD ABOELSEOUD - MOHAMMED EL NENAIY - AHMED EL NENAIY

The concept is based on the handicapped member, the daughter, as she could be the only member affected by the design. The concept is created to ease the circulation in the building in which it all flows in curves instead of toppling over edged walls. It creates visual connection between all rooms while in the same time there are miniature levels that add sense of privacy. The handicapped would be able to look out any window in the house as all sill heights measurements are taken into consideration the height of a person sitting on a chair. A handicapped person faces a lot of difficulties in life, living in his own home should not be one. Might as well add some experience in its design.

spandau ballet team roubair george - youssef rafik

THE MAIN AIM OF THIS PROJECT IS TO REVIVE A PLOT LOCATED.IN SPANDAU WHERE IT HAS A BAD HISTORY IN THE GERMAN CULTURE. THIS SITE WAS INITIALLY USED TO BARRACKS FOR SOLIDERS IN THE WW2. THE SITE IS OCCUPIED NOW WITH REFUGES. THE SITE IS SEPARATED FROM THE OUTSIDE. THE BUILDINGS INSIDE THE PLOT IS SCATERED AND THE SPACES ARE POORLY DEVELOPED. BUILDINGS IN THE SITE ARE MOSTLY HISTORICAL BUILDINGS THAT CANT BE REMOVED. SO TO REVIVE THE SITE WE HAD TO WROK AS A SURGEON "NOT TO REMOVE ALL THE BUILDINGS AND START FROM SCRATCH.THEREFORE, THE HISTORICAL BUILDINGS WERE INTEGRATED WITH NEW BUILDINGS IN ORDER TO FORM CLUSTERS WITH GOOD PUBLIC AND SEMI-PUBLIC SPACES
