Hawaii Vacation In the Garden Island Hawaii

Ok, Sure. I know that’s a corny title but that dude is just ripping across that wave and its been like 20 years since I’ve been to Hawaii and Surfing like this dude. Wahooo! Go for it and have an awesome time on a hawaii vacation. Hawaii Vacation in The Garden Island Travel to Kauai and discover lush, wild jungles; pristine, tropical beaches; tranquil rain forests; and rugged untouched, green mountains. Kauai holds an abundance of natural, untamed treasures. You’ve probably seen Kauai on the silver screen as the lush, Eden-like backdrop for hundreds of famous films. Experience Kauai in person, for the camera’s lens will never capture its true beauty. Kauai is considered by many to be the most beautiful of the Hawaiian Islands because of its lush, tropical rain forest, desolate moonscapes and more than 40 spectacular beaches. From the Na Pali Coast to Waimea Canyon, there are miles of dirt paths to hike, rivers to kayak, and beaches to explore. Some of Hawaii’s best golf courses are found on Kauai, including the Poipu Bay Resort Golf Course known from the PGA Grand Slam of Golf and the Prince Courses at the Princeville Resort. Kapaa/Wailua/Lihue

Appropriately dubbed the “Coconut Coast,” Kauai’s East Side is dotted with clusters of coconut trees. Wailua, a sacred and significant place, is accented by Wailua River and old world charm. Take advantage of all its offerings — the Wailua River State Park, Fern Grotto, Wailua Falls, and other gems. The golden sand beaches of the Coconut Coast are its biggest draw. Be sure to find time for a leisurely stroll through Kapa’a Town and its funky and fine items, including some great Hawaiian craft pieces, aloha-print shirts, jewelry and fine art objects.

The gateway to all of Kauai’s wonders, Lihu’e is where you’ll likely arrive first, via plane or cruise ship. Lihu’e offers much in the way of culture — Hawaiian music and hula performances, heritage festivals and the Kauai Museum. Championship golf courses, great restaurants, and a beach that is paradise for surfing, swimming, and boogie boarding are all a part of the Lihu’e and the adjacent Kalapaki areas. Attractions: Kauai Museum, Fern Grotto, Wailua River, Opaekaa Falls, Lydgate Beach Park, Coconut Marketplace, Kapa’a, The Alekoko Menehune Fishpond, Wailua Falls, Grove Farm Homestead, Kalapaki Beach, Kilohana Plantation and Kukui Grove Shopping Center. Spam Food Factoid: I bet you didn’t know this. The perception of Spam in Hawaii is very different from that on the mainland. Despite the large number of mainlanders who consume Spam, and the various recipes that have been made from it, Spam, along with most canned food, is often stigmatized on the mainland as “poor people food”. In Hawaii, similar canned meat products such as Treet are considered cheaper versions of canned meat than Spam. This is a result of Spam having the initial market share and its name sounding more convincing to consumers. In these locales, varieties of Spam unavailable in other markets are sold. These include Honey Spam, Spam with Bacon, and Hot and Spicy Spam.
