On July 26, 2013 special guests were invited to the Roselle Artwear Studio in Stowe, Vermont for a truly special event. Material artist Roselle Abramowitz hosted a fashion show demonstrating the latest lines of her art-to-wear collection. In the proud tradition of supporting local, Roselle’s show brought together an entire team of Stowe businesses and vendors—from the models to the jewelry to the photographer, it was an exceptional evening of Vermont talent. Proceeds from the event benefitted Music in the Meadow/Stowe Performing Arts, a non-profit organization that provides cultural enrichment through performances in Stowe and the surrounding communities. The show featured eight rounds of Roselle’s work, from her hand-painted silk art pieces and her signature sexy silk dress to her warm and cuddly fleeces and exotic Mudcloth. Dozens of one-of-a-kind works of wearable material art were shared with the audience. Roselle’s newest endeavor, the Roselle HOME collection, debuted pieced, quilted art throws to applause, ooohs and ahhhhs. As you peruse these images, you’ll experience the gorgeous clothes and positive energy of that magical evening.
About Roselle: Material Artist Roselle Abramowitz has enjoyed a passionate, life-long love of color and design. Twenty years ago, Roselle moved to her home and studio in Stowe, VT, and began a fulfilling artistic journey, which we are fortunate to enjoy today. Her love of color, sense of adventure, and playful spirit are very much in evidence in her work. Roselle cites her life experiences and the people, places, and cultures she has encountered in her travels as influences upon her eclectic, but thoroughly beautiful, art. As an artist who creates to suit herself and designs to please her clientele, Roselle creates her unique works of art in a variety of fabrics and styles. The most extraordinary aspect of Roselle’s creations is that they are never duplicated - each and every piece is unique.
