Tuition & AM/PM Care – Late Payment
Real Men Read
All tuition, AM/PM Care, and other charges are due on the first of each month (August thru May). Beginning in October 2011, accounts not paid-in-full will be assessed a $15 late charge on the 16th of each month.
January 20 will be the next date for Real Men Read. We are looking forward to having pastors read to our students again this month. Stay tuned for more information about this event.
Clip and Save Fundraising Follow-Up to Neighborhood Incident of Last Week 1. Police have increased patrols in our area.
2. This week when our children are outside, we will have additional adults watching the street and car traffic. 3. We continue to keep our perimeter entrances locked and ask for people to identify themselves before gaining entrance to school. 4. Ask for parent volunteers before school and at dismissal time to be watchful for unfamiliar cars or people around school. If you can help the school with that, please call Mr. VanZyl, 773-264-2174. 5. Children are to be brought in from outside immediately at any indication of danger outside. 6. Children will be inside during after school care for this next week – January 9-13th.
Don’t forget to keep clipping the coupons from your food products to benefit the school. We participate in the Campbell Soup “Labels for Education” program, the Tyson Chicken “Project A+” program and the “Box Tops for Education” program. In the last couple weeks, we received a check for over $600 for collecting Box Tops. And we recently ordered playground balls and other sports equipment using “Labels for Education” points. Thanks for your support of the students through your faithful participation in these programs.
Lost If anyone has seen one of ours boy’s basketball warm up sweat shirt, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please return it to the office.

TO: All Parents RE: National School Lunch Program Applications
The Illinois Hunger Coalition found that only 25% of families eligible for free or reduced price meals in the National School lunch Program apply for these benefits. The result is that many students do not partake of available nutritious meals. In an effort to make sure that as many eligible families participate as possible, we are making available the Free and Reduced–price Applications to all families who do not have an application on file. The guidelines for qualifying are liberal, and take into account the number of children in a family. Even qualifying for a reduced price of $0.40 per meal can be a significant help to many families. The guidelines are:
July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012 Total Household Size Annual Income (at or below) (Adults & Children) Reduced Price Meals 1 $20,147 2 27,214 3 34,281 4 41,348 5 48,415 6 55,482 7 62,648 8 69,616 For each additional Family member add +7,067
---------------------------------------------------------------------------We urge all families to complete an application. Simply contact the office to request an application.
