From the desk of the Personal Representative “A GIANT IN MASONRY” Our Spring Reunion is just around the corner and your Scottish Rite Masons are working tirelessly to bring our new Master Masons to Scottish Rite. Your Scottish Rite, as well as the other Masonic organizations that they support, all recognize the importance membership and for an organization as large as ours, membership is our lifeline. Currently we draw our membership from 40 lodges in the 16th, 17th, 18th and 26th Masonic Districts. Within those 40 lodges our membership numbers are quite low percentage wise. I would speculate that there are a lot of Lodges that many of the top officers are not Scottish Rite Masons and this trend is the one we need to break. When a man joins the Masonic Fraternity, he professes to be searching for Light, that Light in Masonry is brighter than ever in Scottish Rite and teaches us to draw from our Masonic experience and grow through Scottish Rite. Lets all get together and spread this message throughout our Lodges, Districts, Appendant Orders and open the Scottish Rite experience to all Masons. I know we can hit the 100 mark for a reunion and with a little devotion and dedication to this goal, we can!

pleasure of knowing Ill. Goldsmith for almost 20 years before he passed away and I have to say, in all those years, Ill. Bob has always been, and will always be, in my eyes one of those, “Giants in Masonry”. Ill. Goldsmith will be missed by everyone in the Orient of Florida, he served with distinction, honor and will always be remembered as not just a great leader, but one of those great Masons, that I consider to be a “Giant in Masonry”. God Bless you Brother Bob and may you rest in peace in the presence of GOD! Fraternally, Ill. Zeb E Blanton, Jr., 33° Personal Representative of the S.G.I.G. Valley of Orlando

Now to my main point, a few years ago, I wrote an article about our leaders in Masonry and indicated that we have lost many of the people we considered “Giants” in Masonry. I considered this designation as a way to differentiate the average Master Mason from one who has excelled beyond our wildest expectations and became what we could consider “A Giant in Masonry”. In my 33 years as a Master Mason, I have know only a few people who could be classified as a “Giant in Masonry”, but none has influenced me more in my everyday life like Ill. Robert L. Goldsmith, 33°, S.G.I.G. for the Orient of Florida. I have had the

Scottish Rite Foundation of Florida, USA, Inc. This is just a reminder that the Millionaire and Billionaire program is still very active within the Consistory and we are in the process of making a display board where we can hang each dollar bill replica; for everyone who can only donate 10 or 20 dollars at a time. We will continue to place a star for each $10 donated on the replica as money is donated and the board will be in a very conspicuous place where you will be able to track your progress! In the future, the new millionaires and billionaires will be published in the Consistory bulletin, unless I am asked not to advertise ones donation, and wish to be an anonymous donor.

We still have some Ernest Borgnine books and coffee mugs which are still available and would make a great present to someone, if one was so inclined to use them as such. We appreciate all your support both by individuals and the respective Scottish Rite Clubs who have continued to support this most worthwhile charity! Thank you for all that you do! Fraternally, Ill. Ron Trinkle, 33° Orlando Scottish Rite Trustee

KCCH Court of Honor My Brothers, The KCCH Club meets prior to the regular Valley meeting. It starts at 5:30 pm in the library. This year we have taken on a new project that will hopefully benefit the whole Valley. One is the Audio system used for the Reunions. It has been noted that the mikes need to be replaced with a different kind so the voice is picked up from any direction. A study is underway to determine the best route with which to solve the situation

Our Reunion is upon us. Membership is vital to the life of our Fraternity. I ask each of you to offer the opportunity of Scottish Rite Masonry to as many Blue Lodge Masons as possible. We have much to offer a new Mason as well as those who have been members for a long time. Please pick up the torch and light the path of a brother. Fraternally, Randy Ziegler, 32° KCCH, Commander KCCH Court of Honor

Be diligent to BRING A MASTER MASON TO SCOTTISH RITE. It is time to start planning for our Spring Reunion. One way to get in the spirit of seeking new members is to attend our Orlando Scottish Rite Masonic Center monthly meetings as well as one of our Scottish Rite Clubs and your Lodge. THE FELLOWISHIP IS OUTSTANDING. Be diligent to BRING A MASTER MASON TO SCOTTISH RITE. It’s easy to download a petition from our web site, SRORLANDO.ORG. Knights of Saint Andrews Dear Brothers, On February 26th our consistory held it's annual Ring Ceremony, Knighting and Double Eagle Awards. I would like to extend my congratulations to our new Knights. To our Officers and Brothers thank you, for your continuing loyalty in making our program a success. A special admiration for our M:. W:. Grand Master, Dale I. Goehrig 33, Ill. Zeb E. Blanton 33, Personal Representative of the S.G.I.G. and Ill. Keith W. Albright 33, General Secretary, for there participation and guidance. On April 17th and 18th one of our cameo events of the year will take place, the Spring Reunion. The Spring and Fall Reunions are exciting programs of comradery of ritual, spiritual guidance and hope of the future. All Brothers on campus join in to celebrate the making of Masters of the Royal Secret 32 Degree Scottish Rite Masons. This event is in strong attendance by the Knights of Saint Andrew, participating in about every phase of the program. Following the Spring Reunion, on April 23rd is the Radio Show program. Where Brothers family and friends reminisce

the days of the air waves when radio was the entertainment, news and spiritual bonding for many families and neighbors. On June 12 the Knights will again play a roll of assisting our Brothers in the Flag Retirement program. A celebration and tribute to the flag of our country for it's significance to the freedom of mankind through out the world. We urge all Brothers family and friends to celebrate with us this day. As you can see. Yes we have purpose ---Yes we have spirit - Yes we have direction. We are the Knight's of Saint Andrew. The FRONT LINE of the consistory! We welcome our Black Hat Brothers to join us Now! Fraternally yours, Dominick Tesoriere, 32째 Knights of Saint Andrew Venerable Master 2009

The Scottish Rite Master Craftsman In April, 2008, the Supreme Council launched a new educational program, The Scottish Rite Master Craftsman. The program is a sixpart open book exam covering the material contained in "A Bridge to Light" and the "Scottish Rite Ritual Monitor and Guide." You work at your own pace, completing the lessons and sending them back to the Supreme Council for grading and feedback from the Supreme Council staff. The six exams cover topics on the history and background of Masonry and the development of the Scottish Rite, the Lodge of Perfection, Chapter of Rose Croix, Council of Kadosh, the Consistory, and Scottish Rite Honors. The program will increase and test your knowledge of the Scottish Rite while you learn about its structure and organization, its rich history, and its deeply philosophic Masonic teachings. The cost of the course is $35.00 and comes with a copy of the "Scottish Rite Ritual Monitor and Guide" (which normally costs $65.00 on its own!). A number of brothers have participated the program, and we have a number of graduates. We hope that you will consider this program to further your Scottish Rite and Masonic education. For those that have completed the Master Craftsman program, the Supreme Council announced at the October 5th biennial meeting, the new Master Craftsman 2 (MC2) program. This program uses the same materials as the Master Craftsman program. MC2 comprises nine lessons and expands on education of the Master Craftsman program by examining the lessons of each of the 29 degrees. The cost for this course is also $35.00. Both these programs can be purchased from the Supreme Council web site: We encourage all Brothers to expand their knowledge of the Scottish Rite by pursuing the Master Craftsman, and Master Craftsman 2 programs.
