Neighbourhood planning allows local residents and businesses to have their own planning policies in a neighbourhood plan that reflect their priorities, deliver tangible local benefits and have real weight in planning decisions. Located at the East End in London, the Roman Road Bow Neighbourhood boundary was agreed and approved in 2017, after an intensive period of consultation. Later on that year, in a period of five months, (October 2017- February 2018), the Neighbourhood Forum committee worked with the local community to shaping the content of the Neighbourhood Plan.
