BILL MOWER CLASS OF 1994

Bill Mower was born and raised in Roxborough and hailed from IHM parish. As a young kid playing football for the Roxborough Eagles for 7 years, coaches recognized his potential, so it wasn’t a big surprise that shortly after he arrived at Broad and Vine, he helped lead Roman’s freshman football team to an undefeated record in 1990. Bill became a starting offensive lineman his sophomore year, and was a key member of the 1992 Southern Division Championship team as a junior. For his outstanding play during his junior year, Bill was named 2nd Team AllCatholic. Bill continued his stellar play as a senior, helping the Cahillites to a 5-2 record and another playoff berth. This time, Bill was named a 1st Team All-Catholic as well as being selected to play in the 1994 City All-Star game. He was also selected as the Most Outstanding Lineman of the annual Roman vs Roxborough Thanksgiving Day Game. Following graduation from Roman, Bill was a 3 year starter at Ursinus College. During his junior year, along with his fellow offensive linemen, he was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Also during his junior year, Ursinus went undefeated in conference play, winning the title, and advancing to the NCAA Division III playoffs. During his senior year, Bill was named co-captain and 2nd Team All-Centennial Conference. Bill currently works for SEI Investments, and lives in Collegeville (St. Eleanor’s parish) with his wife Casey and sons, Jack and Shane. He’s also an RCHS Alumni Trustee. The SHOF committee is proud to induct Bill Mower into the RCHS Sports Hall of Fame.
