Mission Statement Ruspolia’s Crisps is dedicated to make edible insects a fun, tasty, and pleasant experience. Bush crickets are a healthy and environmentally conscious alternative to farm animals like cows and chicken, which is something we like to put an emphasis on. Our snacks are created with real aged cheddar cheese, giving our customers a familiar taste they always want to reach for.

Logo Variations The Ruspolia’s Crisps logo affords for several variations, because of its uniqueness. To the right, are the logos to be used to represent the brand. The white text in the orange box is the primary logo and should be used whenever it works best. In other instances, whichever logo is the most legible should be used. When needed, the logo type can be used without the graphic, as done on the envelope and letter head.

This logo is the second most used logo, since it is closest to the primary logo.

This logo works well on the corporate side, such as on letterheads and envelopes.

Logo Usage To ensure the brand’s recognizably, there are standards which must be followed when using the logos. There must be at least the size of the capital ‘R’ in the logo worth of space between the logo and any text, photo, or graphic. This ensures that the logo will never be overcrowded or overshadowed by something nearby. On page 7, several ways to not display the logo are shown.

Do not use colors that are not listed in the color palette.

Do not stretch logo unproportionally.

Do not use multiple colors at once.

Do not alter or change the typeface.

Do not rotate the logo.

Do not round corners.

Do not add strokes around the text to make it bolder.

Do not make the letters lowercase or edit the text in any way.

Typography The 2 typefaces to be used with Ruspolia’s Crisps products and branding should be Memphis LT Std Bold, Medium, and Light, as well as Avenir Next Black and Roman. The Memphis type family works well as a headline and shorter lines of text, while Avenir is good for larger bodies of text, since it is more legible. In the logo, Memphis Medium is used, with a slight stroke added, to give it a little more thickness, so that it is in-between the weight of Medium and Bold. This way, the type is a similar weight as the mark, making the logo cohesive.

Patterns Patterns appear quite often in the Ruspolia’s Crisps brand. They all involve the spikes from the logos, placed and sized in different ways. The colorways can be reversed or changed as long as they are a part of the defined color palette.
