Autumn 2018

KS3 Co-Curricular

1

2

Dear students, Welcome to the autumn term KS3 Co-Curricular brochure! All Co-Curricular activities are chosen to help develop your skills and experience in one of six areas: ENGAGEMENT – Determination and Ambition CURIOSITY – Persistence and Reflection COMPASSION – Kindness and Responsibility INDEPENDENCE – Creativity and Inventiveness HAPPINESS – Health in Body and Mind CONFIDENCE – Awareness and Self Esteem Please take the time to browse through this brochure, considering what activities you would like to do, and perhaps activities that are outside your usual comfort zone, or skills set, in order to stretch and challenge you. Aim to choose at least one thing from each area by the end of the year. What will you try next? Please note that PE Activities are likely to change from time to time, so keep an eye on noticeboards. If you see the DofE logo next to an activity, it means that this activity could be used to count towards your DofE Skills, Physical or Volunteering requirement. This is not automatic, though, you would need work with your activity leader to make sure you met the requirements fully. Have a great term! Email: HBO@roedean.co.uk MONDAY – pages 6-10 TUESDAY – pages 11-15 WEDNESDAY – pages 16-19 THURSDAY – pages 20-24 FRIDAY – pages 25-28 3
