A: Hi, Ronny R: Hi, Amy A: How are you? R: Fine, thank you, and you? A: Fine, thank you. It is been a long time without knowing anything about you. R: Yes, It’s been a long time. How is your father and siblings? A: They are fine, thanks for asking. Actually, I live with my father and my husband in San Ramon. My sister moved to Canada to improve her English skills, and my brother got married last year. What about you and your family? R: They are fine too. In my case, I still live with my mom, dad and my oldest brother. My mom is a housewife; my dad still works as a security guard in Belen, and my brother is looking for a new job. Are you still working at HP? A: No, I am not. I have a new job at San Ramon. R: What are your responsibilities at this new job? A: I have to print, photocopy and paste a lot of documents. R: Nice. Do you like to work there? A: Yes, I do. I love working there because this job keeps me moving all day and I like to give a great customer service. R: I think you work in an office. A: No, never. I couldn't picture myself answering calls all day. Do you still work with your uncle? R: Yes, you are right. It sounds boring. I still work with him in a small lottery booth at Auto Mercado. A: Do you like your job?
R: Yes, I love my job too. What I like the most about it is to interact with all the people. But, there is something that I hate about my job, and that is my schedule; I have to work ten hours per day, and I always finish my day so tired. A: Oh my friend, I’m so sorry for you! You should look for another job if you don’t like your schedule. R: Thanks for your advice but I’m fine working there. A: Good for you. Ronny we should go out someday with our childhood friends. R: That is a good idea. We could go to Pizza Hut, and after that we could go to the movie theater. A: Yeah, I like going to the movie theater, but I hate pizza. R: Are you crazy? Everybody loves pizza. Why do you hate the pizza? A: Because I don’t like cheese, onions and pepper. R: Oh, I see. Where do you like to go? A: I like to go to Taco Bell, what do you think? R: I don’t like to eat there because I don’t like tomato, pork, bacon, meat and ground beef. A: So, do you only eat fish and chicken? R: Yes, I do. I only eat fish and chicken. A: I know a perfect restaurant for us; it’s called “El Cevichito” R: Yeah! I know that place. I went there with my uncle and his wife, my cousins and my sister. Let’s go there. A: Yeah, sounds good. And, I have another idea. What do you think if we go to the POPS to drink any milkshakes or ice cream? R: Nice idea. I love desserts. But, I don’t like to go to the POPS. I prefer yogurt than ice cream. What do you think if we go to Yogurtmania at Plaza Real? A: Sounds perfect. I like yogurt too.
R: Nice. I’m going to contact our childhood friends, and I will let you know what they say. Can you go out on Saturdays? A: That is impossible for me to go out on Saturdays because I am always busy on weekends. R: Oh, really? What do you do on weekends? A: All my Saturdays are crazy! R: Why do you say that? A: Because I always wake up at 8:00 a.m. I get to my work at 9:30 a.m. Then, I get done at 11:30 a.m. I have lunch at 12:00 o’clock. After that, I have to take a bus to get to the university. My classes start at 1:30 p.m. and they finish at 5:00 p.m. I usually arrive to my house at 6:30 p.m. Finally, I cook dinner for my father and husband. R: Wow! What a long day. That’s why you say so. A: Yeah! I always end up so tired on Saturdays R: And, what about your Sundays? A: I usually wake up at 9:00 a.m. Then, I start cleaning up my entire house at 10:00 o’clock and I normally finish my chores around 1:30 p.m. After that, I prepare lunch. Finally, I go to visit my mother in law and get back to my house at 9:00 p.m. R: You are right! You are so busy on weekends. A: Yeah, I can only go out from Monday to Friday. Can you go out one of those days? R: I’m not sure! A: Why aren’t you sure? R: Because from Monday to Wednesday I wake up at 7:00 a.m. I get to the university at 8:00 a.m. when my classes start. They finish at 11: 30 a.m. Then, I have lunch, and I arrive to my work at 1:00 p.m. Finally, I get done at 10:00 p.m. A: Wow! That’s insane!
R: Yeah, I know. But, that’s my uncle’s schedule for work. A: What about Thursdays and Fridays? R: It’s almost the same. I wake up at 7:00 a.m. I get to the university at 8:00 a.m. when my classes start. They finish at 11: 30 a.m. Then, I have lunch at 12 o’clock. After that, I always go out with my girlfriend, who lives in Cartago, so she takes all my time those days. A: I think it will be impossible to meet up each other, but give me your phone number, and I will keep in touch with you. R: Sure! It’s 85 62 50 48. A: I got it. I will call you. That was nice to talk to you again. R: Yeah, same here. Bye A: Bye, bye
