A Farewell from Your Lieutenant Governor
An Official Special Edition Key Club Division 20 Newsletter What is District Convention?
In This Issue:
Hello Division 20, District Convention, abbreviated as DCON, is less than two weeks away! This year, the New Jersey District Board is working hard to put the convention together and we are following a 1920s Great Gatsby theme. The convention will be as roaring and ritzy as the 1920s themselves were. As things quickly begin to wrap up, I’d like to thank you all for an excellent past year of service. Thank you to all the officers for your consistent hard work and dedication to Key Club. From attending PCMs to hanging out at Fall Rally, your love for service is both acknowledged and appreciated! I couldn’t have asked for a better group of officers to work with. Also, thank you to all of the advisors for providing guidance to the officers throughout this past year. While Key Club is a student-led organization, the projects would not have been as successful without your help and support. Lastly, thank you to the District Board for welcoming me into the family. You guys all rock and I wish you all the very best of luck in your future endeavors. I will miss all of you! Keep in touch! If you have any questions or want to talk, feel free to email me at my personal email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text me at (973) 618-6800.

Meet the Elect! Hello Division 20, My name is Michaela Patoilo and I am a junior at Roxbury High School. I am honored to say I will be serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Division 20 for the 2013-2014 service year. I am genuinely looking forward to this year on the New Jersey District Board and I am so grateful to have this opportunity. In addition to Key Club, I am involved in numerous extracurricular activities, including as Girl Scouts, Academic Decathalon, and National Honor Society, among others. A few fun facts about me are that I am trilingual, and I have a third degree black belt in the art of taekwondo. I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese. In my free time, I love to play soccer, work with children, and give back to my community. I have been involved in the Kiwanis-Family since Builder’s club, and have always been extremely active in my school and community. I was only a general member before becoming Lieutenant Governor Elect, and I think this truly shows how each individual sets his or her own limitations for the greatness they can achieve. I look forward to meeting all of you and serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Division 20 for the upcoming service year! Yours in Caring and Service, Michaela Patoilo Lieutenant Governor Elect of Division 20
