VI Joshua chose twelve men; he called them together, and told them: Go to the middle of the riverbed where the sacred chest is, and pick up a large rock. Carry it on your shoulder to our camp. There are twelve of you, so there will be one rock for each tribe. Someday your children will ask, “Why are these rocks here?” Then you can tell them how the water stopped flowing when the chest was being carried across the river. These rocks will always remind our people of what happened here today. Joshua 4:5-7
Working through the pages of this annual report is one of the most refreshing exercises our team does all year. We live and work in a world that runs on a never-ending cycle of run – go – don’t stop! But the word of God reminds us over and over again not to “forget” to pause - to remember - to say, “thank you.” I want to encourage you as you read through the pages of this book to see and celebrate the story it tells. It is a story of the faithfulness of God. Every number you will see is connected to a life to someone’s eternity - and I pray that we never take for granted the work of Jesus in and through His Church.
These are exciting days, and just as Joshua’s men moved forward after building their monument, we look ahead to the work that is before us. This book is a reminder that numbers matter because people matter, and so long as ONE remains spiritually lost in our city, we will RUN. I am so honored and thankful to be your pastor, serving alongside of you to love and serve this city in a way that both honors Christ and advances His Kingdom. Six years ‌ And the best is yet to come! Chad Fisher / Lead Pastor

We will celebrate the work of Jesus in us, through us and all around us. Every number has a name, every name has a story and every story matters to God.

We will not be complacent. A church that never stops going is a church that never stops growing.
01.22.17 In Year 6, Rock City Westerville opened its doors for the first time at Westerville Central High School. After surveying our church and asking where people would like to see the next Rock City campus opened, the answer was a resounding: “Northeast Columbus, and in January of 2017, Rock City Westerville set a record for the biggest launch day in Rock City history!
We are so grateful for the opportunity this campus provides us to reach people in Northeast Columbus and beyond. Westerville will never be the same!
When we heard that Rock City was opening a campus in Westerville we knew we needed to be a part of it. We attended the first launch team meeting and Rock City Westerville has been our home ever since. Each week we serve on the setup and impressions teams and we are finding our home here.
Even though we are still facing challenges in our life, we now know God has a plan for us. Thank you, Rock City, for being a part of God’s story in our life. This is just the beginning! - Jen
We love how bright our Short North Campus shines in the heart of our city, and in Year 6, we launched our first-ever Rock City Midweek worship experience - giving people in our church and in our city that aren’t able to attend church on Sundays the opportunity to experience God each and every week right in the heart of the Short North! With the same great worship, message and people that make Rock City, Rock City ... Midweek is giving more people than ever the opportunity to encounter Christ and experience the life-changing power of His Presence every single Wednesday night.

It will always be about the one. Jesus came to seek and save the lost, and we too will pursue every lost one until every lost one is found.
LAUREL Our Rock City experience started by receiving a flyer in the mail. We had been recently married and were looking for a church home, so it seemed to arrive at the perfect time. We attended our first service in the fall of 2014, and we instantly felt like it was a good fit for us. Destin and I had both grown up in Christian families, and I grew up as a pastor’s daughter. Church wasn’t a new concept for us but something that had taken the backburner, as it does for many during their young adult years. After a long time of feeling hopeless and empty, today we are whole and complete. After nearly a year of attending Rock City, Destin and I decided to re-commit our lives to Jesus by being water baptized. We were both reconnected to Jesus but also to each other, as we began a new spiritual journey together. During our 2 ½ years at Rock City, the worship and messages, as well as the volunteer opportunities, have both challenged and encouraged us to continue navigating our faith and develop fulfilling relationships with Christ and other believers. Now that we are expecting our first child together in just a few months, we look forward to witnessing the impact Christ will have on his life and our growing family. As our spiritual journey is ongoing, we are eager to see, with the help of Rock City, where it will take us.
DUT On January 15, 2017, I Googled “churches near me that offer evening services,” and found Rock City. After work that day I went home, changed, and headed to the 7pm service at the Short North Campus. That night, God spoke to me directly through the message: Crash The Chatterbox. I was afraid to run back to God because my sins weighed heavy on me, but through this series, the Lord reminded me of who I was in Him. What I took home that night was, “God wants us to see our sin not so that we can be condemned but so that we may be freed!” I reclaimed my freedom that night and started living free from that moment forward!
H E AT H E R In August of 2016, I moved from Massillon, Ohio to Columbus and began going to Columbus State. Back home I was really involved in my church but when I got to Columbus, I struggled to find a community I could call home. I was so grateful when some family friends reached out to me and invited me to the Rock City Upper Arlington Campus. I loved it! The next week I attended the Short North Campus and that is when God really began to do an amazing work. I got plugged into an awesome LifeGroup right away and my LifeGroup leader asked if I’d like to serve on the Short North parking team. Suddenly, I was in this community of Christians that I never thought was possible. After serving for a couple of months, I learned about the Rock City Internship Program. After a lot of prayer, I applied and was accepted! Even now as an intern, I continue to meet amazing people here that love to serve others and long to see the lost reached. I am forever thankful for Rock City and that I get to be a part of what God is doing here.
