ACE, a leading provider of robotic automation systems to a wide variety of industries from aerospace to medical, was founded in 1996 by Jim Morris. ACE became a part of a very select group of FANUC Robotics Integrators across the world, serving customers as a FANUC Certified Servicing Integrator. Aloi made a second acquisition later that year, acquiring Mainstream, Inc. Founded in 2002 by Jason Stump, Mainstream provides conveyor system installation and maintenance services to large, blue-chip companies in parcel and letter handling. Located in Louisville, KY, Mainstream focuses on repair, maintenance and mechanical installations of large conveying systems In August of 2020, the three companies successfully rebranded to Adaptec Solutions. Keys to Success Adaptec’s growth is a result of its focus on being a full-service integration company. It is now ideally placed to support the ongoing automation demands in the industrial manufacturing and distribution/warehousing industries. Adaptec Solutions proudly serves customers as a FANUC Certified Servicing Integrator. Adaptec has been presented with numerous achievement awards by FANUC including Global Partner of the Year, Sales Leadership Award, and Excellence in Intelligent Robotics Award. Proud to be a key part of FANUC’s Authorized System Integrator (ASI) network for automation systems, Adaptec’s team is experienced and dedicated to delivering the highest quality FANUC-integrated solutions. Being “easy to do business with” means recognizing that customers require flexibility in how they want to work with companies. Adaptec recently launched an online store featuring many of the brands it represents including Gorbel, FANUC, and OnRobot. Their online store makes it easy to find and purchase products from industrial cranes and hoists to collaborative robots, offering a one-stop shop for multiple applications.

Adaptec has an extensive and rapidly growing field service capability that supports multiple customers on a 24/7 basis. In order to efficiently support this team, Adaptec partnered with Rochester-based eLogic to implement a cloud-based scheduling platform. This platform allows for the efficient scheduling of technicians, providing them with the customer’s equipment and work instruction information through a mobile device. Technicians can utilize the platform to easily capture asset data, work order details, inspection/PM details and send key information back to the office for review and further product lifecycle support. Adaptec now has the enhanced ability to manage all customer requests from remote support cases to dispatched work orders, resulting in effective coordination and resolution of customer issues. Intelligent scheduling based on technician skillsets, certifications, customer requirements and geography free up the service team to focus on what matters most – solving customer problems. Future of Adaptec The future is bright for Adaptec as the company plans to expand its geographic footprint and develop capacity close to its target markets and customers. Development is currently underway to provide IoT solutions to support efficient equipment operation and reduce customer downtime further increasing valued-added customer service. Driven by the mission, “To deliver superior, efficient, safe solutions that enable our customers to always meet their commitments,” Adaptec strives to be known as a leader in facility efficiency and safety solutions, and an employer of choice in the communities where they operate.
