Adaptec has an extensive and rapidly growing field service capability that supports multiple customers on a 24/7 basis. In order to efficiently support this team, Adaptec partnered with Rochester-based eLogic to implement a cloud-based scheduling platform. This platform allows for the efficient scheduling of technicians, providing them with the customer’s equipment and work instruction information through a mobile device. Technicians can utilize the platform to easily capture asset data, work order details, inspection/PM details and send key information back to the office for review and further product lifecycle support. Adaptec now has the enhanced ability to manage all customer requests from remote support cases to dispatched work orders, resulting in effective coordination and resolution of customer issues. Intelligent scheduling based on technician skillsets, certifications, customer requirements and geography free up the service team to focus on what matters most – solving customer problems.
