The Swiss investment power Due to its investment power, Switzerland is a decisive market for investor relations. Rochat & Partners can offer you a privileged access to Swiss media, analysts, fund managers, banks and asset managers. • Some 35% of the world's private and institutional assets are managed from Switzerland, compared with 21% from the United Kingdom and 12% from the United States. With 9.1% of global assets under management (AUM), Switzerland is among the world’s leading trio of wealth management centers, alongside the USA and the UK. It is the world leader in off-shore private banking, with a market-share of 27%. • Assets under management of the Swiss banks amount to CHF 4’518 billions (Swiss origin: CHF 1’151 billions – foreign origin: CHF 1’641 billions). Institutional asset management represents 62% of the market (CHF 2’792 billions). • Switzerland is also the world leader in pension funds in terms of contributions related to the GDP. In terms of contributions only, Switzerland ranks 7th, behind the4 USA, UK, Australia, the Netherlands, Japan and the Czech Republic. The yearly Swiss contributions to pension funds amount to $ 36.7 billion, compared to $19.4 (new number not available) billion for Great Britain and $14 billion for Germany. Total assets of the Swiss pension funds reach CHF 464 billion (€ 366 billion), which is superior to the gross domestic product. • Approximately 25% of the Swiss population has now invested in shares or funds. This is far below the 34% in the boom year 2000, but still a very high number in international comparison. In Germany, the world’s third economy, only 16% of the population has invested in shares or funds. • As a result, Switzerland registers some 6’450 investment funds for 7.7 million inhabitants, compared to 9’000 funds for some… 300 million Americans.

• Geneva is the world's most important private banking center, with the international private banking headquarters of many foreign banks, including Credit Agricole, BNP Paribas, Barclays or Deutsche Bank. Zurich is a major player in institutional asset management and investment banking. • Switzerland being such a small country, with limited investment opportunities, Swiss bankers have acquired centuries of experience in investing abroad. Such global strategies made their reputation, long before "global" became so popular.
