AMERICANA | EILEN JEWELL

Eilen Jewell is a gal out of Idaho that you oughta know. With a firm grasp on country-honk-a-billy she is the very definition of music that falls under the Americana umbrella. Her voice is seductive, plaintively nonchalant, and deceptively sweet. I don’t know whether to run to her or run away. I can’t keep my eyes or ears off her; God help me. Eilen Jewell plays Sunday, April 26, at Downstairs Cabaret at Winton Place, 3450 Winton Place, Brighton. 7 p.m. $20-$25. abilenebarandlounge.com; eilenjewell.com. — BY FRANK DE BLASE
